What is the point of awarding anyone here a red dot? There is no point to it is there? This practice just breeds dissension which, it seems, is rife here.

My suggestion to everyone: Just give greens or give nothing at all.

Hard for me to understand why a poster like SpaminCan would keep returning to a site where he is clearly disliked and unwanted. What possible pleasure can be gained. He's not witty, clever, or entertaining in the least, thus I can only conclude that his intent is to irritate posters and admin alike. Perhaps, in a way. But most forums have some type of system which allows posters to tell other posters if they found a post helpful, informative or humorous. I don't generally agree with sending reds, and send very few. There are times, however, when a poster is so vile that a red is deserved, as it is the only means available to express your disgust. Pointless, yes, as most posters to whom well-deserved reds are sent are pond scum upon whom such a gesture has no impact, however, for just a moment, I think it makes you feel good to express your negative impression.

And, of course, like you, posters have the option not to participate.
