Just for entertainment: What did your parents teach you?


My dad was the greatest (ex called up WW2 British army signals, gunner and driver) ..Taught me lots of DIY, vehicle maintenance, vegetable /flower gardening etc…. Dad taught me how to make a good fire, a good cuppa tea and a great stew from most anything…Taught me domestic wiring and basic electrics theory, Morse code and how to mix concrete by the time I was 14yo. Also taught me Guinness is good for you.
Mum taught me basic cooking skills (a la 50s Brit standards), sewing, knitting, sock darning.
My folks also taught me that Jews and Blacks/Wogs/all foreigners (especially French and Russians) were to be avoided….lol
