Hoax alert! Inserted amongst the legitimate album covers from my collection was this 'matching set' of front & back covers from the Deep Purple In Rock album. I was waiting for someone to spot the deception, but no one seems to have caught it. The astute among our esteemed TD members might have noticed that there are only 4 'backsides' when there are 5 heads in the front cover photo. Someone more clever than I came up with that gag back cover and posted it to the internet. I photoshopped it a bit to make it better match the front cover.

including the rarely seen backside of the album
Here's the real 'backside' of the album from the Japanese re-issue in my collection. It's the same photo as the one on the front cover.

No probs Sumo. I used to have the album and didn't recall the reverse side as being like that. I just thought maybe it was a cover from a re-issue or one from Japan.

Didn't notice myself that there was only 4 backsides.

I have over 1000 Thai albums, this is just one singer a few years ago. At least I am not as mad as some Japanese fans!

^ That's quite a lot of Thai CDs! Out of curiosity, are you able to speak Thai and understand the words?

Do you have any albums by Bew Kalayanee by any chance? I have heard a song of hers that sounds great and have that in my singles collection, although I don't understand what all that she's singing about. Yarng Noi is the song I am thinking of.

^^ I've been a fan of Chris Isaak's for a long time. More recently I've gotten into Bryan Ferry and have recently expanded the collection with an album and compilation of his.

She is with R Siam and from the south, seen her many times, but not really my sort of sound, probably got one CD of hers, somewhere.

Seems my timing is off. I just found out from the significant other that Bew Kalayanee just gave a performance here on the 20th in Prachuap for their annual festival and I missed it. Oh well, maybe next year I'll have better timing.

I used play Al Stewart a lot. Particularly Year Of The Cat (and I would dream of going to Asia). ....loved his sound. He's still around, and touring...
