The friend, a doctor at an HIV clinic near Silom says he has just seen a patient who came to him after visiting a local brothel and having a condom break. he hooker gave him four PEP anti HIV tablets to keep him going until he saw a doctor and got a full course (I think thirty days is normal).

On the positive side, this would start the treatment within the 36 hour window, as long as the drug was real, not counterfeit. On the other hand wouldn't this create drug resistant strains of HIV if the punter doent see his own doctor for the full course and picks up the virus?
