Don't really DJ much nowadays, play decent easy gigs now though, easy ones. No dance tuuunes, which i hate. Next gig is next month a 40th birthday at Ditchling Museum East Sussex. Finishes at 12, they've hired a party band so I'm only actually playing for about 90mins, usual party tunes...

In Keith Richard's book he relates that he was just fooling around with a fuzz box that day (he normally just plays clean, with no effects). That opening riff was recorded just as a place holder, meant to be replaced later on by a big, brassy Otis Redding style horn section playing the same line. He didn't know they'd gone ahead and released the song that way 'til he heard it on the radio. (Great book, by the way)
