For the red wine lovers out there, I bought a box of 6 Groot Constantia (2012) and it is a very good wine...even my French friends approved of it.

Excellent brand; all their beers are very good.
This morning I had a margarita with a breakfast burrito. The look the waitress gave me when I ordered was priceless. A very enjoyable brunch.
This morning, as it was approaching noon, I had a hankering for a cheap sparkling peach wine (made in LOS) mixed with a smaller amount of Orange Breezer. However, now I'm drinking
https://teakdoor.com/images/imported/2015/02/761.jpg
^ that looks nice.
If you'd put an umbrella and a cherry in the peach wine then Dilinger will turn up to share a drink with you...
I decided to crack open me Valentines day present from Gert.

You have clearly been drinking too much, Dill (or you need glasses). It says 4.1%. :)

That Bollinger, eh? What a screaming homosexual!

Had to google that... and i do like raspberries, moreso than strawberry if we were talking preserves:)Quote:

I'm sure Betty mentioned some gay bar in Amsterdam last night that was named after that yellow fruit there on the right:confused:
Errr...um... at 160 calories per bottle? Try Fresco wines from Siam Winery, here in LOS. 8% alc with choices including Strawberry Rose, Sparkling Peach (my fav) and Sparkling Moscato. At the end of the day, you'll either be twice as drunk or just as drunk and slimmer. Very cheap and available at Tops. :)Quote:

It wasn't a gay bar though I did go with a Frenchmen I'd just met (that's another story...).Quote:

I will drink all 4 bottles, even though one is 7%, one is 8% and one is 9%, this evening, like a man. No strawberries in sight.
Tomorrow morning, I will be taking the bottles down to the outside rubbish area with my beer glasses and hiding them. The wife returns tomorrow...
Betty is your dominatrix due to arrive tomorrow if so get a good mouth wash don't want a whiff of booze on your breathe when she arrives.
And throw out those glasses before she spots them.:)
^ the glasses are gone; kept one which I'll tell her came with orange juice... :)
She's arriving at 3:20pm, so I have time to get the beer smell oot. Are you in Kanchanaburi yet? Go to the Winking Frog for lunch/dinner.

One down, three to go. That one was 7%, a red ale sort, but average. I wouldn't buy it again at the price (was about 235 baht). Expected better. Moving on...

Two down, two to go.
Now that's a nice beer. Much nicer than the first. It's a bit like that Hoegarten stuff, but a lot lot better and a bit of a daddy; it's 8.5%. I have a pleasant glow. I feel that I might go to bed early tonight... This one was a better price, about 177 baht, still not cheap, but it's a good beer. I'd get it again on special occasions if I couldn't find anything better. I used to drink this in Fresh Prince's place, but it wasn't in my top 5 (he did have some amazing beers there, and good prices for Thailand - most of them were 250 baht or 300 baht; that's in a nice pub). Moving on...

^^ Scribe Slaps, always a pleasure to have a conversation (of sorts) with a man of your quality and experience. Now,

Three down and one to go. I love Triples, and this one was pricey at 10,000 won which is about 296 baht according to Google. That's six squids, so you'd want it to be decent. It is decent, but it's not spectacular, imho. It's the best of the three, just, and it's 9%. It's quite a light drinking 9%er, at first, but I bumped into several door frames on my way to the toillete a second or two ago. I would buy this again, but not at the price.
This is a better triple (the best I've ever tasted) and is cheaper (if you can find it, which I could not this afternoon):

I have to get up early(ish) to clean the house tomorrow (you know, those random panties and thigh high boots, lying around...) before the missus returns, so I left just a standard low % weissbier for last (that's experience for ya! Notice how I did it: 7%, 8%, 9%, then 5% - live and learn kids; going on a bender the night before the big boss returns is for 35 year olds, not 45 year olds). The next one is a 500MLer which should nicely put me to sleep (I wonder if I've got time to interest the neighbour (and work colleague) in a quickee before I go to sleep this evening)? :)
Depends.Quote:

It's all gone. T's probably for the best.
Tastes a bit like wa'er this stuff, I remember it being stronger, or at least I think I do. 500mgs of quite nice 5.4% of wa'er. I think I'll start cleaning the place a bit then head to bed (I'm 2 hours ahead of you lot in Thailand).
At what point is it a late night drink vs an early morning drink?
https://teakdoor.com/images/imported/2015/02/837.jpg
^^ I hate you Betty!
IMHO If you been drinking into and through the night until morning its a late night drink. Its an early morning drink if you get up and pour.... At least that how I see it. Good times either way.....:)Quote:
