Yes, I should have said Byzantine Ballista, not Catapult.
The family history behind that crystal glass is the same as behind the crystal jug in the picture above it. They were both part of the wedding gift glassware to my grandparents, making them over 85 years old I think.
I love drinking from glasses with family history.
This Mango Loco Monster is a contender for my new favourite energy drink

1920s, Boney? :)
Cranberry honey and lemon tea.
The cranberry honey isn't quite as nice as I thought it would be.
Love mangoes, grabbed one of these Monsters this morning. Very, very, very sweet. I had a long squint at the tiny writing that lists the nutritional content and...

Not one, not two, but 67.5 grams of sugar! I think I have instant-onset diabetes. :(
Obviously there was only one thing I could do, go and buy up a load of sugary, Xmasy treats to confuse the body. An overloaded sugar processing system can't process sugar if its overloaded, right?

As luck would have it today is Saturday, the Sabbath, the holy day God himself designated as international cheat day. It would be wrong to not observe the customs of the Lord.
It is a shocker isn't it. Although it is a big 500ml can and Coca Cola comes in at 52g per 500ml so not far behind.
I only drink those energy drinks once or twice a month. They do give you a buzz. It is probably more the blood sugar than the magical ingredients they tout such as guanine, taurine, ginseng etc.
I got the last of the Tali, Teerak Khmer edition has opted for the Aberlour. Oban is for Christmas day

It's not 2025 yet.
Time to put on me old Testament albums and savor the artistry.
Better strap up, as I'm in for a journey through layers of complexity and contentment with every sip.
Gluhwein
That, or a journey back to Big C to get my money back!!
Ahh, might as well hold my nose and finish this glas.. ca.. 5 cans, I suppose.
How did they manage to make it twice as fizzy?
With twice the heavy flavour?
They could have at least kept it going and made it 10%.
The second can does taste nicer than the first.
Maybe the first one was from a bad batch. :)
Special hops, is that the claim then, nice can though
Pla raa

This was duty free.its usually how I find Takisker. Though sometimes Ive spotted (and immediately purchased) the odd bottle in the shops here. Its really quite hit and miss.
Well, they're not lying. Their distillery is right by the sea.
Though not right by a cliff. :D

Although I'd personally sooner buy 2 litres of JD:ourrules:
Yea similar price in Sainsbury's but it was on for 28quid in Amazon. Jack and cokes slip down aye, Southern Comfort and lemonade isn't too bad either. A nice blended whiskey and some Canada Dry ginger ale, nice as well. All very easy to drink.
^ To be honest, if I'm in a pub in the UK and fancy a nightcap I'll often have a Famous Grouse to save wasting money on a malt when it really makes no difference anyway.
Years ago I used to buy Famous Grouse at duty free when I was regularly flying within Europe (pre EU stuff). These days I always get a single malt at duty free, purely because it is so difficult to buy a decent whisky at a reasonable price in Thailand.
I find Famous Grouse perfectly acceptable and not a bad tipple at all.
Bells however is a different matter.
