Edwin Charles Tobergta was arrested in June.

A US man arrested in June for having sex with a pool raft had also pleasured himself with an inflatable pumpkin, a court has heard.
Edwin Tobergta, of Hamilton in Ohio, was sentenced this week to 11 months in prison for defiling the raft within view of children, NewsNet5 reports.

The court heard the 34-year-old's chequered history also included a 2002 arrest after he was sprung having sex with the Halloween display pumpkin.

Tobergta apologised for his actions, labelled "lewd", "obscene" and anti-social by the judge.

"I do want to apologise for my actions, I'm sorry," he said.

"I'm ready to get my life together and quit all this nonsense."
