    My dream or THE dream?

I'm not living either, but, I'm probably closer to mine than the proper one.

Just by virtue of being in my own body. Most of the time at least.

Your dream. I'm just curious to know if anyone has actually got to the point of living their dream, how they got to that point, how long it took them to get there and how long they think it will last.

Any hints or tips to help me live my dream? Anyone got a good idea for a dream for me to live?

My life is shit. The only pleasure I get is when I'm talking about flying roundhouse kicks (off both left and right), rabbit/chain punches and strutting into mafia strongholds and battering everyone.

Good post. Do you need the beer to sleep at night? What would life be like without it? I don't drink alcohol, I'm a strict herbalist.

Do you ever look over your shoulder? If so, why?
Like beer, this time of year drink too much, boredom from the rain. Other times, so tied from working or hiking, couple of cold ones and sound asleep.

Beer is a reward after a hard hot day, not a reason for the day.
In the west , when in a bar or pub, I would take what I call the gunfighters seat, back to the wall can see the door..
Here have no front door, never lock bedroom doors, yet have people openly carrying guns, kids play in street, have no fear day or night.
OK for me and mine. Jim

    That's cool, man.

I cannot get my head around a life dream or somebody that harbours this type of mental challenge.

Life is pretty hard wherever you choose to live and work and most of us go with the flow for the best part of our working and family life.

Some of us can make choices along the way and once the family are secure and taken care of but few and far between.

My personal, not lifetime dream, if I have one, is to be a professional musician but I guess I will have to play as an amateur and whenever I get the opportunity.

Are you happy with this situation? Is somebody holding a gun to your head, or is this your own free will?

    Do you wear the trousers?

Are you scared of your bird?

    Will this end in tears?

Why am I asking completely inappropriate questions to strangers?

Is this what I have become?

    What is the answer?

I am not one to just "go with the flow"

I need a goal, a dream, something to focus on, something to work for every day.

But what happens when you get there? Is it possible to get there?

If I get there I will probably have a nice smoke, eat chicken curry and chips and watch a movie.

    low "D" for effort.
Lacks originality, evidence of a personal melt-down
OP seems to have come to Thailand to resolve some deep personal issues, blames Thailand for not providing answers to own self-deficiencies.

How's about it FB? will you now haunt Thai related forums trolling those folks that chose a life you could not handle? Will you now post ridiculous tripe with some sort of pathetic glee, think you have "put 'em in their place?"

    Kinda weak. don't you think?

BTW -- Left Thailand after 10 years, been home for nearly three. Miss some aspects of Thailand, don't miss others. Life is pretty much the same; here, there. There are some interesting, yet superficial, differences.

Life is what you make it. Yours won't get better simply because you left Thailand behind - hope you feel better soon.

I will give you an "E" for that mate, not very good.

When you older guys talk like this, it just screams self projection. Honestly, most of you are older than my father.

I'm just having a laugh, mate. I went to Thailand with my mates as a young man to party and smoke landrace sativa's, not to find a 4 out of ten and buy her a house.

Smoking some Sativa is much more fun and cheaper as well.

Yes, fuk buying 4 out of ten a house EH.

some seem to confuse dreams with ambition....
never frickin dreamt I would end up on a frickin rubber farm in Thailand that is for sure.
When I left school I dreamed of being a United Dairies milkman in a little electric float rather than the apprenticeship I was serving.

Guess the answer to the question is NO. but ......

I guess my pie in the sky dream was to be skipper of frickin big warship...but hey!

Yes, for real. I'm just a dick. I made a sharp exit from the Thai a few years ago and have not been back since.

Shortly after returning home I got a serious injury which fucked me up mentally and physically.

I quite like SE Asia Sats, but I want to go to the mountains of Columbia and smoke some of their plants. The only problem is those darn Farc guerrillas, I know I could roundhouse about 50 of them but they've got massive machine guns.
