    What's on yer mind?

This is the thread for whatever you want to say, but isn't worth it's own thread. Whatever's crossing your mind... (tumbleweed pics welcome, in many cases)

I'll start. I'm stressed, just over 2 weeks till my wedding and still so much to do (not least making most of my bouquet). Yikes!

Funny old world ain't it,at the time,(a million years ago) I was so worried,
( pissed off) about the rain wash'n out the test, Poms v Oz, Australia would
have won that test,no doubts, now that's ancient history, but that was on
my mind at the time, so what I'm saying is, what's on your mind at the time,
means fuck all down the track.
P.S Mike loved you Terry,& thanks for the green.

As of last week same for me.. I took am extended amount of leave following the loss of my dear mother... And though my employer was more than understanding,, they still have a business to run. I was warned that if I didn't return soon they'd have no choice but to replace me, Which I understand... I just needed more time than I originally expected what with going home to arrange everything. Anyhow no hard feelings on either side but now I'm going stir crazy. I don't really need the money, well not as much as I need something to keep me busy... So if anyone is looking for help PM me. I'm quite a versatile employee/manager.

I'm sure in due time ill find something to keep me occupied. Until then I shall remain a part time TD nuisance

An excellent idea for a thread. Can't green you at this point, but will when I'm reloaded.
Anyway, I bought a book, I used to love reading books but I got out of the habit here because there is no supply of English books. Where there are books they are limited in selection.
I always pick up a few at airports and in HK when I pass through, haf of which remain unread as much of the time I used to read books is now spent on the internet and on 2 kids, who I am trying to teach to read and love books when they never see me doing it.
It's Ben Elton book, who i remember liking a book of his many years ago, it's called ' Past Mortem'.
The thing is I can't see it ever getting read at this rate. What a sad state of affairs, I'm going to ave to do something about it. I mean, I could be reading it right now but somehow this at least feels like I'm DOING something. Perhaps the interactiveness of the internet.
Also I can pop over and check the weather, and find a google answer to the sons question why is Mars red,
“If we stop testing right now we’d have very few cases, if any.” Donald J Trump.

Got the same problem, but it's more an attention span thing for me at the mo. It's driving me crazy! I've gone from someone who always had a book in her bag and used to whip it out and read if I was alone for more than 5 minutes, to someone who just never reads. Sad

Dying in the heat here (35 degrees). This afternoon I was sitting with a damp teatowel wrapped round my neck. Everywhere else in Swissland has had thunderstorms except us. Ach well, in a few months I'll be complaining about the chill factor of -25.

Shall venture out in a while and treat myself to a pint of cider.
