I'm just not as elegant a writer as say Slapper here, and I have to work at it, but ya know even Hemingway had to work at it.

I'm not sure Thailand was as enjoyable then as now, it was hard compared to now. It really was a third world place, the Americans had just pulled out and people in general were shells-chocked. It was different but still the same in many ways.
