What Knife/Tool Do You Always Carry?

For a few years I've carried a Protech Godson (very high-quality switchblade) on my belt, and it's come in handy many times when I've needed to cut open a box or something, but I've often found myself in need of pliers or a screwdriver, especially for a minor repair on my bike.

I used to carry a Leatherman tool with me all the time, but I lost it and never replaced it- I just picked up a new Wave model- it came with a cheap nylon sheath rather than the leather sheath that used to be supplied (it now has to be purchased separately), but otherwise it's a great tool, and everything can be opened one-handed.

I looked at the Super Tool model, but it's an inch bigger and bulkier (though it comes with two more tools and is a bit cheaper) but most motorcyclists recommend the Wave (which comes with a couple of extra screwdriver bits).

    What do you carry?

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

The problem with that is you generally lose the toothpick immediately.

I carry one of these with me

Coupled with a never say die attitude and more than a dash of derring do, I've not come upon a problem I have notmanaged to solve yet.

I'm sure for many of you your toolboxes consist of a pair of tweezers and a steak knife, with which you manage MacGyver-like feats of mechanical creation (and pseudolus probably loosens stuck bolts with his teeth on the rare occasions when his brain lets him down)- the rest of us need a screwdriver or a pair or pliers once in a while.

This is the closest thing I can find to bsnub's keychain- the Schrade version with a seatbelt cutter for $25- I like the simple one better, though:

As for funny. No. A classic example of your tedious trash posts. Entirely without any function but to have a go at someone.

Cross post troll thread trashing - exactly why so many people dislike you.

Other than lever very small things, what can you actually do with a 3 inch prybar?

I'm looking at it more as a handy screwdriver than anything else.

My current keychain is a souvenir from Scotland (where I've never been) and is basically useless (even for holding keys, which always manage to escape the thing somehow).

Here is the link my friend.

CountyComm - Titanium Widgy Pry Bar

That website is the best thing since sliced bread. I have mine wrapped in paracord and it is always with me. Super light you don't even know it is there.

    Video review;

    very useful

The robust pry bars are perfect for removing large staples and ripping open boxes.

Cool- I will order one the next time I'm in the US- their international shipping seems a bit screwed up, but they have some interesting gadgets.

I can pull it out myself with my Leatherman tool- it doubles as a home-surgery kit.
