This is a 100% crop and I cannot say I am too impressed with the image quality. My Canon S100 produces much more detail.

The XZ-1 has lovers and haters due to its smudging of detail if you don't get the settings right. I am not going to come out against this camera until I have given it a proper go but right now I would have to say that the S100 kicks its ass all over the shop.

These 2 cameras were mentioned on Davis's camera thread a few months back.

BTW Davis there is nothing to fear over the S100 lens error issue reported on Amazon. That issue was for serial number range 29xxxxxx to 41xxxxxx. Any cameras being sold now are well out of that range.
