Shooting on Khao San Road

I have just heard that one of the Thai girls from our company was shot on Khao San Road at the weekend. Apparently she and another girl were in a bar and two policemen had a fist fight and one got out his gun to shoot the other and hit the two girls instead.

She is in a serious condition with an abdominal gunshot wound.

Anyone else heard about this?

not sure if he was a copper or not, but he certainly had a hand-gun with him, but to answer ur question, drinking and ogling girls i guess....

Yes; Actually three girls were shot, two in the abdomen and one in the leg.
The girl who works in our office is now out of danger the other one who used to work with us is still in a serious condition. The one shot in the leg is ok too.
They caught the policeman and he was a probationary constable.

If not sentenced , he will be placed on other duty.
Most likely they will punish him by sending him down to the south.

We had a rather vicious murder in our soi about 7 months ago. It was witnessed by a maid who works in our appartment block. When the police came they told her that there were no witnesses. She said she'd seen it happen and they repeated 'there were no witnesses'.
That never made the paper, either Thai or English language. It is worrying.
