Sixty minutes happened to be on last night and they did a story about a poor guy who had spent his life as a day labourer, breaking his back and living in poverty when someone noticed it was this guy.
Has anyone here heard of him besides me?
He was rediscovered in 1998.
It blue my mind because when they flashed that album cover and played some of the music I nearly vomited from the nostalgia, I can still almost smell the incense.
This was one of what I thought was the supercool albums of my collection that none of my mates quite 'got'.
An absolute tragedy that the guy spent most of his life in poverty, but fortunate I suppose that in the end he recieved some recognition.
Please check out the 60 minutes story here, it really is worth a look.
What a lovely and humble guy.
