    Songs for you funeral.

What songs would you like to be played at your funeral?

Here are a couple for my one... (Not that it will ever happen because I have this delusion that I am immortal)

^ Great song LT. I'll make sure it is played for you...

Jizzy... get your requests down in writing - You don't want some daft relative screwing up your big day with the wrong songs.

Any song will do as long as it ends with "in my arse"

This was played at a close friends funeral here. His daughters chose the song, and it gave everybody goosebumps. This would be fine for me..

The best classical guitarist in the world in my opinion.

I would have Michael Jackson's Thriller.
Half way through the song I would have a body double dressed up as a zombie Bogon and dance through the congregation just like the Thriller video.
Think it would be a bloody great laugh.
Could also hire some extras and dress them up as zombies and do one of those flash mob things?
Sod this, I'm off to change my will and last testament.
    Black diamonds? I shit 'em.

I had a sadistic mate who asked for REMs Everybody hurts to be played at his funeral knowing that most people who blub like babies. Except his mates who knew it was his final little joke from beyond the grave, and we all started laughing. It was what he would have wanted.

As for me, I'd go for...

^ everybody hurts.... Another great funeral song. The lyrics should be given out and sung like a hymn... Along with a tissue and a dram of fine malt.

Great minds think alike Rawlins , I have this version already written into my will to be played .

However according to my ex wife amongst other obcenitys she bawled at me as we left the divorce court , she told me I would be going to another place , so mabe this will be more appropriate

I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs

Spooky....As soon as I opened this thread the Missus came in the door saying her uncle had just fell to his death. No safety harness no doubt.

Anyway, I've been to 2 funerals where this classic was played

Had a good friend commit suicide a good few years ago now. He had been in a bit of trouble with the law, to the extent that, after 16 court appearances he was flat broke. And at nearly 70 he decided he had had enough.

his funeral opened with "I fought the law and the law won"
Followed by "I did it my way"

    Place was absolutely rockin'

Thought of Sandy Denny myself at the start of the thread,Good choice Bangyai,Another choice for me would be "Raise to me the parting glass " from the film Waking Ned.....
