so much crime - but no bank robberies?

dont they have bank robberies in thailand?

if so, then far below average, compared to other countries...?

and so many people have weapons, but nobody does this easy walk into the next branch?

Gold shops are easier targets and just as profitable.
    As are "unusually wealthy" people.

Even if you could get past the dozen shooters and angry hordes, do you think you could get away on the potholed road on a honda wave?

Most of these robberies are committed by desperate drug addicts needing to get some quick loose change so they can buy their next fix.

They don't seem to have as many people ripping out and stealing entire ATMs either.
Possibly it may have something to do with the Thai psyche; they don't like being confrontational.

I was thinking exactly this as I was checking out the arse on the bangkok bank hottie emptying the CDM this morning. Three boxes stuffed full of cash, door right there, and only this cutie to stop me. Soooo tempting.

Thais are a cowardly and weak people.. that's why they need about 10 buddies to kick a farangs arse

I imagine something as bold as robbing a bank wouldn't be too popular. They prefer burgling people in their absence, or robbing people weaker and more vulnerable than themselves.

Most looting of accounts is done by politicians and the rest of the government officials. If these people weren't hired and allowed to steal straight form the coffers in Thailand, they would be the bank robbers you are looking for.
