The old saying “size doesn’t matter” is certainly true for Cherry and Ball from Thailand.

The pair (Cherry’s full name is Siripa Boonraksol, and Ball’s is Puwadol Kumthai) couldn’t be much different in the size department.


He is almost 19 stone and she is just over 7 stone. They first met 10 years ago but neither can remember who made the first approach!

Cherry, who is a nurse at Mission Hospital, Bangkok said “I know he isn’t handsome but I’m always proud to be out with him. He has a good heart and that is the most important thing”.

Yeah, it's a nice fantasy that life is a zero-sum game where deficiencies in one area are made up for in another, but it just ain't so. Obviously people like to be seen to be nice by saying nice things as part of social in-group inclusive fitness.
