    I have noticed L/R divisions.

I have noticed some interesting differences on the board between those posters that would identify themselves with the (liberal Left?) and those that would be more identified with the (conservative right?). I use brackets because there may be other more appropriate terms, but for now and for the sake of the discussion, if it develops, these will do. I'm sure you'll know what I mean.

There are shades of grey of course, and those that would fall squarely in the middle, but a large percentage would seem to fall on one side or the other, and I have noticed that generally the posters who fall on the left are (and I'm saying GENERALLY, not all) generally, more likely to be insulting, abusive, vitriolic and hateful and more likely to use foul language than those on the right, who it seems to me are more likely to be polite, charming and humourous, and able to have a bit of a laugh at things in general and take the piss out of themselves a bit.

There are exceptions to the rule but this has generally been my observation, what do you think?
    Fair cop or not?

Religion = Politics = Poligion (in short).

    They're all left-wing to me.

Koojo's trying to make a fantasy football ranting team, and needs to pick some good wingers for his squad. Could be tricky with such a mix of Soccer, Rugger, Rules, Gridiron, and Gaelic players.

True, the divide I speak of mostly applies to Americans, perhaps I should have mentioned that.
For the most part they are either strictly republican or strictly democrat.
The left/right divide does apply in other nations however.
Fruitfly for example, is an example of European lefties, and confirms the point of this thread with his hateful post above, likening Conservatives to paedophiles.

    Yes....strictly.

Outside of the Libertarians, Progressives, assorted Anarchists, Arayan Nationalists, tree-hugging Environmentalists, Christian fundamentalists, John Bircher/Isolationists, Socialists-Marxists, etc, etc.

    strictly Republicans or Democrats.

But which is more hateful, Butterfly's post, or the conservative guy I knew taking advantage of one armed boys.

Doubt you'll provide a straight answer.

Of course the guy taking advantage of one armed boys is more hateful than butterfly making a post equating conservatives with paedophiles, not as stupid though, and irrelevant to this discussion, which is about left leaning TD posters being more prone to outbursts of vitriol and abusive language than right leaning poster.
And lets face it, if we're going to go down that road I'm sure there are plenty of examples of liberals doing terrible things, no political position has the high ground there.
I'm sure BM will be happy to fill you in on all the rapes and assaults carried out at liberal OWS gatherings as opposed to the number of rapes and assaults carried out at conservative tea party gatherings, but this thread isn't about that, threads already exist for those things. In fact many posts on those threads are what inspired this thread.
I definitely have observed on those political threads that it is the liberals who are more likely to lose it and start name calling.

Why bring Socal into the conversation so early; thought he'd be your trump card.

Is Paps left or right? Or does he swing both ways?

Anyone who allows themselves to be guided by a set of rules set out by someone who only has their own interests at heart is a bit dim imo. They`re all as bad as each other from my experience.

I disagree. I have clearly observed that those on the left of the political divide (and don't pretend it doesn't exist) are far more prone to outbursts of abuse and general nastiness than those on the right.

Whilst I agree somewhat with the first part of your statement, the second, I totally disagree. The ones of the right leaning tend to be more subtle, and sophisticated (if thats the right word) with their abuse, and general nastiness. Still all a bunch of nutters though.

Well I'm anti abortion, so that just pisses the hippies and feminists off, but also anti the death penalty, so the rednecks think I'm just a fucking pussy, doesn't help that I'm for softer marijuana laws and stricter policing of the relationships between business and government, I'm anti gay marriage and if I were mayor permission for a gay pride parade would be denied.
I'm for strict gun controls and a fair tax system, a medicare system similar to Australia would be implemented immediately under the koojo government. Less money will be spent on war, and arms manufacturer lobyists would be very uncomfortable in the koojo parliament buildings.
The money saved would be spent on schools and police.
A polly caught fiddling his expenses could expect to be charged with fraud and punishment would be painting school buildings with paint bought with his fine.
