I did a big shop in tesco lotus today, while the missus was down another aisle i picked up some herrings in a tin in curry sauce, knowing her fondness for tinned mackerel.

However i picked it up from the bargain half price shelf, it was half price, seemed a bargain at 70 baht. Shes just come downstairs doubled up and in her thai dictionary pointed to the words peptic ulcer...

Its probably nothing to do with the herring, the amount of chilis she digests and that pla thingy ive banished to outside the house along with durian , probably have gave her an ulcer.

Her mom and dad died of liver disease, her mom loved the lao khao but her dad never drank. I think i'll take her the docs in the morning as shes pretty adamant about her dictionary definition.

I was just gonna go upstairs for a bit of hows yer father too.

That looks quite nice, got to admit I was never really a fish eater, in the UK I doubt I had eaten more than 5 kinds of fish, shall try some of those tinned fish mixes when I get back to Pattaya.

BTW DD next time your in the UK if you want to try a truly delicious fish Tesco now do a fish called BASA it comes frozen , 100% skinless + boneless beautiful white compact meat , retails at a very reasonable £3 a pack of 5 fillets or 2 packs for £4 we eat loads of it at that price, even after being frozen it has a delicious taste either fried with a bit of batter or steamed with a bit of butter
