So I am moving back to California. I depart Tuesday afternoon. I thought I would say it has been fun and a true life lesson. I feel fortunate to have been able to come live it full time and see first hand the pro's and con's and gathered a lot of info so when I really retire what to expect if I should move back. My hunch is I will never live here full time again but will do it part time.

In the end I really look forward to moving back to California for a ton of reasons. While I will not list them all as it will cite a riot of "I hate America" posts I look forward to my daily life being a lot easier and can partake in an endless list of activities at will like a Giants Baseball game at the park, Fishing, Football, Motorsports, Snowboarding,Turkey hunting, Camping on a clean river and partaking in an endless list of top notch beers around the BBQ as the NY Steaks are slowly searing in 70 degree weather and no mosquitoes attacks

^ Ahhhhhhhh Cant wait. My friends back home sent me a picture as they were shopping for beer for my return BBQ... Choices choices. I "chubbed" up when I got the pic... They also sent a pic of the 1.5L HUGE bottle of Grey Goose for $41 bucks.

I am fully cognizant that I retired to soon and miss far to many freedoms and am way to active to sit around here and avoid the heat during the day everyday. I miss the endless activites the US has to offer, especially California. I am glad I did not drink the Kool Aid and trap myself with a one way ticket. One of the biggest things I gained from living here over the last 5 years was how to go back now and enjoy the US and not let it consume you. Before I moved I was deeply entrenched in it all, was full of great angst and needed the break away to see it all with different eyes. I go back debt free which opens up a huge window of jobs I can work that I will actually enjoy rather then working based on how much the pay is. I will also enjoy touring my Thai gal friend around as she will be traveling back with me. I actually really look forward to that. She showed me a ton of Thailand and I will do the same in the US.

It has been great fun since joining TD, Lots of good info to be found here with some filtering. I made a few good friends and have enjoyed following some threads. I will still post but do know that I am not there anymore so you guys can bag on me saying "How do you know, you don't live here"....
