I am also sabang on several Pattaya boards, but my heritage and genesis was as a Chat poster. Yes DD, I am aware of your run in with Tab.

Observations- it's mostly quiet on TD, but you have some real expat's here, including a good sprinkling of Hillbillies. I might go hillbilly myself one day. People can really get on your tits.
Some of the TR's here are the best I've seen.
If I ever want to build a house (or pick up a hammer) I'll be sure to check that section. Likewise grow mangoes.

I been thinking about the "tab" thingy, I dont think he told the true story on his forum, now the only reason I summise this was from an email I got, anyway time for the story from myside, Tab started sending me threatening emails, generally about grassing me up and that, after about 5 of these threatening emails I decided to be a bit more aggressive, at this time I was obviously banned from his site.

So I do a bit of searching and get his name and everything else I can find out about him, military, tax etc, so I send him the stuff and he foking paniced, he said his site was hacked but he actually probably lost his bottle and closed it, not sure which as I didn't bother rejoining so I didn't see what he posted, if you want I can post his emails about how first he was going to get me arrested by the Thai police and then later by the Thai immigration police, he got real upset with my first email to him at his proper email addy, but hell he sent me about 20 threatening emails in total about him getting me arrested, it turned out he lost his bottle when his sex sites come out, hey, and I didn't even bother looking for them, just told the wanker I would pass them on to immigration with his name, that was the last contact I had with him, he didn't want to play nomore and closed his site, couple of days later I emailed him and told him I wern't as big a wnker as him so he opened it again.

Fact of the matter is that DD does not mod this thread. Says something about his open mind and attitudetowards running a forum about living in Thailand.

Jeez, this thread has become interesting! Haven't been online for a while. DD, to be honest mate I didn't know anywhere near what went on between Tab and you, so thanks for the heads up. We all know Peter could be err, erratic. One time I meantioned this site on Chat as a good source of info on housebuilding in Thailand, and Peter mentioned some vague thing about you guys having had a run in.
And talk about timing- Tab today has announced that he is closing Pattaya Chat as he has to go into hospital for up to six months. RIP Chat- I will have fond memories and all that. It was an interesting ride, to say the least.
Thanks for the welcome TD's, and I hope I can contribute something here over time. When I read stuff like some of the great TR's and hillbilly's excellent house construction thread, I am appropriately humbled.

I think you will find that Peter is lieing yet again, 6 months in hospital for what? thats a long time for anything unless your at deaths door and gonna die, as you saw in the emails I posted from him he just makes wild accusations and threats, initially he supposedly reported me to the police because about 10 years ago I employed some illegal labour, ie Cambodians, in my business here in Thailand, could you even imagine the thai police being interested in something like that that was over 10 years ago, he then sent me more threatening emails over differant things, so I decided to find out who he was, which I did, I then sent him his details and said I would pass them onto immigration, he closed his site down, I then sent him another email saying I weren't a grass like him and he didn't have to worry about it so he opened his site again, that was all it was, but then he started claiming I hacked his site which obviously I didn't, but at that stage I couldn't be bothered with him and his lies.
