    Credit where credit is due....

I often criticise the way Britain is going, but this has restored my faith a tad. Anyone who orders the destruction of music by that caterwauling hag gets my vote.

Council destroys Cher fan's CD collection for playing music too loud

Neighbours did not share Karl Wiosna love of Cher
A Cher fan who played her songs at ear-piercing levels, has had his stereo and CD collection destroyed.
Karl Wiosna, from Graig, South Wales, was forced to face the music after failing to heed several warnings from the local council.
Neighbours had complained repeatedly about his music being played at unacceptable levels.
Environmental health officers from Rhondda Cynon Taf Council set up recording equipment in the living room of a neighbouring property and obtained evidence that Wiosna committed noise nuisance offences on May 2 and 8 of this year.
The council subsequently served Wiosna with a legal notice under the Environmental Protection Act demanding he reduce the volume or face having his stereo equipment, tapes and CDs confiscated.
Despite this warning, environmental health officers were called out via an out-of-hours emergency number just a week later because of his blaring music.
So loud was Wiosna's stereo, the officers were able to pick out the lyrics of Cher and U2 songs from the front room of his next-door neighbour's house.
After obtaining a warrant to enter Wiosna's home, council officers seized his stereo and music collection on May 28.
Earlier this month, Wiosna appeared before the Rhondda Magistrates' Court where he admitted a breach of a noise abatement order.
He was subsequently fined £200 and ordered to pay £50 costs.
Magistrates also decided to impose a victim's surcharge of £15 and grant an application to seize and destroy his stereo and music.
Councillor Mike Forey, Cabinet Member for Environmental Health, said: "I hope it serves as a reminder to others, that we can take them to court and seize their belongings if they do not cease causing a nuisance to others."

He does look like Cher, or is that a photie of Cher in the OP?

    I don't know.

    I'm all confused.

I wonder what Cher looks like without her make up and wig.
    She's what..............63, 64?

No scratch that, I don't wonder.

I'm pretty sure that Elders of the church were similarly empowered back in Geneva when Calvin was running the show. They were really down on Black Sabbath and the underground death-metal sensation JesusFuckedMyBunniesandMadeThemBleed, regardless of volume.

So,go Council, go. The 16th century is just around the corner.

to seize and destroy his stereo and music.
I can see seizing it but why does it have to be destroyed? That's idiotic. The government should sell it off to help pay for expenses of the government or do something else.

What else are they willing to seize and destroy? Do they seize and destroy team memorabilia from football hooligans? How about seizing and destroying cars from repeat offenders who speed?

^ Karl might arrange for someone to buy the collection and stereo back for him which may concern his neighbours further.

I suspect that Karl's currently thinking to himself '' if i could turn back time''
