very nice,
that crash must have hurt,
Very good vid.
Between 1907 and 2009 there have been 237 deaths during official practices or races on the Snaefell Mountain Course.
RIP
Bloody mad men. I would not dare get out of second gear!. Courage or stupidity not sure, the speed is just unbelievable! Great Vid.
Were gonna go one day soon , its getting accomadation over there is the prob booked up year on year
If i had to watch this there i would choose a spot far way from the road...
spent 30 years of my life racing around the island, (not every day for 30 years)
i miss nothing about the uk, the IoM i miss badley,
the induction moise of an R1 on full chat is a drug,
i have to use an eavel handling wave over hear, o the shame,
if your behind an mu7 with an IoM TT banner across the rear screen give me a toot on the horn.
life is what happens to us while we are making other plans
Take the carb and airbox of the Wave and stick a side entry carb. on it. Won't sound like and R1 but...the induction moise of an R1 on full chat is a drug,

Basil Keys from Worthing used to race over there in the 50's, I wonder what happens to the boy racer bikes they used, loved the poweful throaty sound they made.

If you like bike racing, and road racing in particular, then this movie/documentary is for you. Absolutely fantastic.
When i watch WRC i get a buzz. When i watch the Isle of Man, i crap my pants!
i never rode close to the edge over there, many reasens why, the main one was i never had the balls for it,
had a few wobbles, but never lost it, riders die every year who whent to close to there personal edge, if you can go there thats what makes winners,
its about time guy got some TT wins, just needs a bit of luck
madmen yea
insane indeed.
hats off to them.
There is no bigger test of balls than the Isle of Man TT- it's too bad the factories won't let MotoGP and SBK riders give it a shot (though it's understandable that it's too big of a risk).
Didnt Carl Fogarty do it?
I know he did both, but tbh, I dont know if it was at the same time.
"Fogarty broke the lap record at the Isle of Man TT in 1992. His lap at 18 minutes, 18.8 seconds (123.61 mph) on a Yamaha 750cc wasn't broken until seven years later by Jim Moodie from a standing start riding a Honda RC45 in 1999, taking the record to 124.45 mph."
Carl Fogarty - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Not going to take anything away from Foggy but I never liked him much after he declared that he would win the 1995 Daytona 200 out rite and bad mouthed Scott Russell. Russell crashed early but was still able to remount and beat foggy.
I think that's a bit strong- I wouldn't risk a factory contract and a guarantee of millions of dollars to run on a course with zero run-off and concrete walls in many places just to prove something.
As we can see from what just happened to Simoncelli, it's dangerous at the top level as well.
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.
