Alexander's lot looked a bit hungrier than England, who looked like they were at a training match. Stoikov for the Macedonians is easily the man of the match. I lost count of the number of times he skinned the English defense.

Cyprus 4 - 2 Rep of Ireland

The Pikeys are finding it hard now that they have to choose Irish players rather than English. Awful result against a bunch of nobodies.

Wales 1 - 5 Slovakia

Not a good start for David Bellamy's first game as Wales captain. Wales once again proove that they are the crappiest team in the British Isles (though, we still have Northern Ireland to play later).

Did anyone see the empty crisp packet getting involved in Caldwell's goal celebration? Frankly that sort of behaviour should be stamped out, and if it can be confirmed what flavour it was it should be banned for life.

The crisp packet was empty so someone on the pitch must have been having a snack. Most likely the french goalie as he was looking a bit bloated.

It's sandwiched between Greece, Serbia, Bulgaria and Albania in the Balkans. It's internationally recognised name is The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia due to Greece objecting to it using the name Macedonia because the region was not part of the ancient Macedonia and the ancient Macedonians were a Greek people while the modern inhabitants of The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia are a Slavic people. There is a region of Greece called Macedonia which is more or less the Ancient homeland of Phillip II and his son Alexander.

Croatia v England is at half time and nothing's changed.

We're suggish, can't pass, tackle and have no movement. Out best tackler is fekkin' Rooney! All the passes are causing players to 'back-up' to receive the pass. If it wasn't for Robinson, Croatia would be deservedly ahead.

What a shame, we were only Unofficial Champs for a few days. Still if you have offered me 3 points from France at home and Ukraine away when the draw was made I would have happily taken it. And we still top the group.
