Whats the most boring sport on TV?

Apologies if there has already been a post like this (I couldn't find one), but I'd like to know which sports our illustrious members consider to be both on TV and pain-drying-ly boring.

I'd like to nominate (in order of tedium):

    1. Golf.
    2. Cricket.
    3. Sailing.

Right now I can only think of three (there would have been one more, but darts isn't on TV no more, thank to some deity or other).

    What does everyone else think?

Might ruffle the odd feather here

F1, still a boring event though Lewis Hamiltons in it.
    Basketball, just not a fan
Cricket, I'd rather watch paint after its dried than watch cricket.

I'd go for darts (it's still on TV somewhere), baseball and lawn bowls.

The thing about cricket is you have to fully understand the game to apreciate it when runs are not being scored

I wouldnt say I full understand cricket but enough to still find it boring to watch. The thing I dont understand is how they can draw games getting different scores.

    Synchronized swimming for sure.

Not is it only boring but you take a quite nice looking bird> tie her hair back so tight it looks like shes got her face sticking out of the window of the space shuttle on take off and then put a clothes peg on her nose.

Close second > aussie rules as you have to be at the game to really enjoy it. Too one dimensional TV visuals to really enjoy watching and to fully appreciate the game.

Coming up the rear it would have to be 8 ball pool. So same same as these guys are so good the inevitable happens time after time. Love snooker though. Proper artistry.

    In 'n outs of Cricket

CRICKET: AS EXPLAINED TO A FOREIGNER...

: You have two sides, one out in the field and one in. Each man that's in the side that's in goes out, and when he's out he comes in and the next man goes in until he's out. When they are all out, the side that's out comes in and the side that's been in goes out and tries to get those coming in, out. Sometimes you get men still in and not out.
: When a man goes out to go in, the men who are out try to get him out, and when he is out he goes in and the next man in goes out and goes in. There are two men called umpires who stay out all the time and they decide when the men who are in are out. When both sides have been in and all the men have been out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game.
    : Simple!

Show jumping does it for me. Soccer a close second. Rugby Union or League are the ones I will watch.

Basketball is probably the number 1 bore for me. Tall freaks continually running from one end of a court to the other taking turns to score a 'goal'. Horse racing is also up there in the snooze stakes. If the jockeys and basketball places swapped places it might liven things up a bit....on second thoughts, have the jockeys ride the basketball players in a race and have the horses on the basketball court.

I've just watched it! Womens Archery.

What a load of shit. They've got these state of the art bows that look like the have sights at the front yet they still don't hit the bulls eye every shot. Why not? If your representing your country you should at least be spot on every time.

Also, I'm another one who's not a fan of watching basket ball. It seems that all through the game each team just scores on the other team over and over again and you end up with a daft score line of 72-71. Why not just have the game last 4 minutes and we'll see who has the most points then.

I watched the archery and though it okay. The split screen shot didn't do it justice, I thought 'that's a bit easy, they're only a couple of foot away', but when they showed the long angle (75m) it was quite incredible that they even hit the dartboard....The UK lost to France, a reverse of the Agincourt match in 1415, although I don't believe that on this occasion the victors slaughtered the defeated, though I'm not sure as after the result I retuned the tv to watch some white noise, which I also quite enjoyed.

Agree with you happy, cricket for me is just behind Rugby Union as my preferred sports.
Can also understands others distain of cricket and if they don't know the mechanics and intrigue of the game.
Test match cricket for me is a work of art painted over 5 days by 2 teams of artists.
