Rather take a sharp stick in the eye than have to watch baseball or basketball and I live in the US, makes life pretty lonely at times

Another one from the Olympics here
Shooting - one I just saw a bit of the mens trap shooting. Wtf - all you hear is a grunt of someone as they say 'pull' then maybe or maybe not a puff of coloured smoke if they hit the target.
The Javelin competition - bloody hell - throwing a 6ft lump of Iron as far as one can. Come on make it interesting for the speactators at the same time, use condemmed prisonners to run across the target area whilst the throw takes place and award extra marks for the accuracy of the thrower, depending on the injury. Of course a 'kill' gets top marks
Ditto above for hammer throw

Rugby's great to watch -- which explains why it wasn't on my list.
Soccer is a fucking joke.
What bores me:
Soccer/football
Basketball
Synchronized swimming
Jai-alai
What is interesting/fun to watch on TV for me:
Almost all Olympic sports
Love watching on TV
1. UFC
2. NRL (National Rugby League)
3. Cricket
Hate watching on TV
1. Lawn Bowls
2. Horse racing
3. Soccer
Everything except rugby, MotoGP and Superbikes.
1. American football.
Fans say you have to understand the game... it's a bit like chess, they say. Yes, and just like chess it's not a great spectator sport, I say. When I was a youngster one of my favourite computer games was '4th & inches' I loved the strategy behind the plays, the setting of defenses and offenses and subbing on the best players to make the plays work. At the weekends I watched the Gridiron highlights packages. Then for the first time ever the super bowl was gonna be shown live on telly for the first time. Brilliant I thought and sat down and waited as the commentators waded through loads of stats and then finally the game started... First play, incomplete.... Wait five minutes till they got themselves together for the next go... What a load of bollocks. I turned off the tv and went outside to play cricket.
A new sport I've just discovered... watching the Olympics highlights with the sound turned off whilst inebriated and making your own commentary. At least myself and a mate found it quite amusing at the pub last night.
