Wicky just caught Ponting out for 38
and the run rate is dropping
And another gone! Hussey for 8. Hit the ball on his stumps
Ntini goes above waqar Younnis
That first inning lead could prove crucial.
Johnson ended the first innings with 8/61 off 24 overs. Very impressive economy rate of 2.54.
Looks like the wicket in Perth is a nightmare.
Anyone know if it is a typical fast green top?
Looks like Clarke and Symonds are steering the ship at the moment.
Pointings probably aiming for a 350 target for the Yarpy's to chase.
^ All the reports are that it is a very flat track. Should be a batsman's dream but the scores belie that.
Heaps of time left so hopefully the aussies can settle in for a while. From what I can see the track looks pretty good. Lacking its bounce of years gone by but still has a little bit in it.
clarke falls
Symonds Gone
SA back in the game!
Kallis to Lee, OUT, what a catch!!! an absolute stunner. short of a good length outside off, Lee gets on the back foot to guide that past point, gets the outside edge and de Villiers dives full length to his left at second slip to pluck it out of thin air with both hands. Australia seven down now.
But a nice recovery to end the day at 7/228. The new boy Krezja can bat !!
well well
Dravid and gambir 200 run partnership!
almost 79 overs!
Whats happening in Perth? Stupid satellite still aint working
SA set 414
unlucky Haddin run out of partners
early lunch
5 sessions to get almost a record score?
Australia all out 319 with Hadden scoring 92.
I think the highest run chase is 418/7
Hadden has sure filled the role of Adam Gilchrist
highest partnership ever at Mohali!
Very unlucky his career was at the same time as Gilly's mate.Originally Posted by MeMock
Great bat and good keeper but quite long in the tooth now.
Regarding comparing him with Gilchrist nobody was like Gilly and when he was on fire and one of the only wicket keepers who had a rating of the best batsman in the world.
Gilchrist 5570 runs at an ave of 47
Hayden 8524 at 51 ave
Rahul Dravid gets his century no 26!
Great test average for a wicket keeper g2bh but it was in the one day game that he really made his mark.Originally Posted by good2bhappy
Actually I think it was Gilly who really changed the way one day games were played and when they elevated him to opener.
Bloody awesome and I would have hated to bowl too him when he was on fire.
One of the few cricketers that would walk before given out by the umpire as well.
