I would say:
I rest my case.
It's a skill, a game, and some folks are very good at it, but it isn't:
The Olympic decathlon, now that's a sport!
No. You'd have to be an eejot to think so.
No. It's a yob's pub game.
No. &, I prefer toffees.
Meh, maybe, just, at a push, could be...
Yes.

Cycling should be banned!!!
NO it isn’t a sport.
pubs are closing faster than the Chinese are building coal fired power stations.
Luke The Nuke got a nine dart finish while winning the Bahrain Masters yesterday.
What a talent.
I have a friend (no, really, it's true...), very well educated, very reasonable to speak to, and when I mentioned that darts isn't a sport he got really upset, animated and defensive. Thus, even though I always thought it was clear cut that darts is not a sport, it's not the only point of view.
I accept that it's a good game with a lot of practice required to develop skills to a high level. But, would people consider chess a sport? Checkers? Connect 4 (which I know many of you have expertise in... )?
I was taught that a game had an end objective whereas a sport had a time limit. Under that definition, darts is a game rather than a sport. The definition blurs somewhat though with some sports, such as football when they go to golden goal or penalties, which turns a sport into a game.
I wouldn't say it's a pub job's game, since I was once a member of the Wheatsheaf Ladies darts team in a Cornish town. That was under the strict conditions that I did not win any games and was due to the team being one player short. At the time, I was also a member of the men's darts team, but that was because the landlord of the pub was also the landlord of my apartment.
It seems many pub games and associate social events have gone, which is a pity. I don't see dominoes, cribbage, bar billiards, and euchre much any longer. Maybe they are still played in the village pubs and I have lost touched. More likely, the pubs have disappeared and that era lost.
I used to really enjoy Euchre, a card game played in SW England, which I believe came over from France with their fisherman. Anyone else play, or even heard of it?
Getting a laugh out of this. The UK seems to consider Tiddlywinks a sport so I am not sure where I stand on this.
Is euchre like boccie?
I think no, so no.

^ Had you shared that wisdom 17 years ago it could have been the deal breaker and you'd have saved me a world of pain.
But too late now.
I was about to boast that at least Bristol has a Monopoly edition, but discovered that so does even Birmingham!!!
I mean, FFS!
Maybe Korat will get one after all.
^Fkn BBC. Always pandering to minorities!
Currently, there are at least 4 pub yobs on this thread... (who think that games are sport???)

Is golf a sport ?
Is hunting a sport?
Is fishing a sport?
Just because they're not that strenuous doesn't mean they're not sport.
I remember Eddy in one of his old nics(prior to his tea and piss drinking binges to try and reverse the effects of his hep alphabet) call what Mendy refers to as passport runs as 'sport fucking'
Ooh nearly a Shanghai...
