    Joey Barton

    Anyone following this on Twatter?

    https://twitter.com/Joey7Barton

He's either desperately auditioning for a spot on GB News or having some kind of breakdown.

For those unaware, it started off with him having a reasonable point about women commentators and has now descended into conspiracy theories, constant woke comments and attacks on Eni Aluko, Gary Neville, ITV, Philip Schofield, Jeremy Vine, Jonathan Liew from the Guardian, Gary Lineker etc.

Unsurprisingly, he's not coming across as a particularly pleasant human being - he described Eni Aluko and Lucy Ward as the Fred and Rose West of football commentary - although the spat with his current target Gary Neville seems to have legs and Matt Le Tissier is now weighing in alongside him on various conspiracy theories.

ITV condemn Joey Barton's 'SHAMEFUL' comments comparing Eni Aluko and Lucy Ward to Fred and Rose West, before he brands broadcaster 'f*****g idiots' and vows to keep calling all female pundits serial killers | Daily Mail Online

He's going to the the next Man Utd manager, Hal, when Eric ten Hag is fired.

    (Don't quote me on that,)

I think Joseph is currently making himself so untouchable that even the Glazers wouldn't make a decision that bad.

Well of course he's not exactly going to come out with a measured sit on the fence type assessment is he? So why ask him. Ask the consumer eg viewers. Frankly it's embarrassing. They sit an ex women's football player alongside ex top flight men's game professional and talk on a level playing field. You would think they would cringe with embarrassment tbh. She must know she's there just to tick all the pc boxes!. That said l enjoy watching women's football also but don't marry the two! They are different sports just have the same rules. Same applies when men sit on panels discussing women's matches. Stop all the nonsense and get back to reality.

I agree. Women have no idea about the pace or the power of the men's game, and frankly their faux squealing at moments of excitement is beyond irritating.
If I hear a woman on PL commentary I change it ASAP (same with Jim Beglin to be fair).

I'm pleased women have got their own football, but it's a very different beast to the Men's game and comical most of the time.

Having said that, Lauren James is as nasty a little fucker on the pitch as Barton was.

The next post may be brought to you by my little bitch Spamdreth

I agree with your cut and paste "opinion" except that I don't enjoy watching women's football at all.

As I said above, he did have a reasonable point regarding female commentators and tokenism.

However, he has long since gone beyond that...

What women's football matches have you enjoyed recently, Joe?

Re women pundits, Karen Carney is terrific, Alex Scott is crap and Eni Aluko is somewhere in between.

So pretty similar to the standard of the male pundits.

Yes, indeed. There are also, of course, some shit male pundits too (although I don't mind Beglin).

Then there are more and more pundits who are not ex-players.

    And then...there's, Joey Barton himself.

Not exactly a shining advert for knowledgeable and perceptive ex-players, is he.

    The rat faced little gobshite.

He's clearly trying to stay relevant and pushing for a slot on GB News or a column in the Mail.

Surely uuntouchable though in the football world now.

Not that he seems to care too much with plenty in the bank and getting exactly what he wants: attention.

Put him on telly with Shearer.

The tosser will behave himself then.

I think the chances of the BBC ever having Joey Barton on are somewhere between no and Bob.
