If there's any of that buffering crap on HD Prime from too many people watching it, I guess the backup is get a VPN and then watch on the BBC and ITV i-player thingamajigs.

Unless they may want him to stay on for the WC qualifiers, but not than actually stay on for the tournament, which would be odd.
