Italy also let 3 goals in, lost one and very nearly lost another.
The English supporters and pundits would have killed them off if they were an English side.
They are never a team to write off though and nor are the English.

Spain look strong but a lot depends on how much they faff around instead pf going for goal.

You aren't alone in your prediction.

    Do read below

If the german manager has any sense and experience, he should put a stop to such hubris.

He could end up with a squad believing, that it's a walkover.

    Happened before, you know

    Yes, Germany are the favorites

Germany should not be afraid of the 'harmless and unimaginative Danes'

On Saturday, Denmark will meet the German European Championship hosts in the round of eight.

Tyskland skal ikke vaere bange for de '''harmlose og fantasilose danskere''' | UEFA EM 2024 | DR

Three games, three draws, three points and on to the round of eight.

That is the result after the Danish group stage at the European Championship, which Hjulmand's troops closed with a 0-0 draw against Serbia on Tuesday.

This puts Denmark in second place in Group C. Two points behind England in first place and one yellow card better than Slovenia, who with the same number of points as Denmark, three, creep on as one of the top four three.

Second place in Group C means that Denmark will run into Germany on Saturday. A real mouthful for the red and whites.

These are the words of the former national team profile for the host nation Michael Ballack, who during the final round wises as an expert on German TV.

Michael Ballack, who himself reached 98 games and scored 42 goals for the German national team, has not been impressed with the play he has seen from the Danish side.

    - We do not have to be afraid of Denmark. They played harmlessly and not creatively in all three games. Germany is the clear favorite. We really don't have to be afraid of the team, Ballack said after Denmark's nil against Serbia.

'Without a win, but fair enough: Harmless Danes meet Germany', writes Kicker about the German meeting with Denmark in the round of eight.
The German people believe in their heroes

Nor does the big German football magazine Kicker have much to spare for the Danish team.

At least not if you are to interpret the headline that the magazine attached to the article about Denmark beating Serbia and playing their way through to the round of eight.

    - Without a win, but fair enough: Harmless Danes meet Germany, writes Kicker.

The magazine has also asked its readers about the outcome of the round of eight, and at the time of writing, they are on the same wavelength as Michael Ballack.

86 percent expect a German victory, while only 14 percent believe in the Danes.

There is also great optimism in the German national team camp. The sporting director of the German national team, Rudi Völler, said this at a press conference on Wednesday noon.

Völler, who was part of the German national team in 1992, where he broke his arm in the first group match and therefore did not play in the final, was told that the Danish national team player Jannik Vestergaard has stated that "it is possible to beat Germany."

"Of course, Denmark has a good team, and it will be a difficult match. But that was also the case in our last two games, and if we correct one or two mistakes, we play our way into the quarter-finals," says Rudi Völler.

About time we had a game with some passion.
As a matter of interest, what's the record for bookings in a euro match?

Well, Italy can't score goals or keep them out.

The Swiss and the Austrians are probably the 2 teams that are actually playing well in the tournament.

That Ralf guy can actually do some decent work when free of the Man United cesspit.

Plus Spain, Germany and the Portugal first team.

But will Martinez have the cojones to bench Ronaldo, who failed to score in the group stage for the first time in his career?
