Says a lot that a capable league 1 player gets in the Merch 1st team.
Outstanding again today.
He always manages to get a foot in and is ridiculous in possession.
"That boy's gonna be a superstar" said Lee Dixon as he was substituted.
Klopp in awe too: What Jurgen Klopp did to Kobbie Mainoo during Man United vs Liverpool that spoke volumes - Manchester Evening News
Hal knows.
Ian Wright:

Keep him away from the England squad (at least until the summer) cos he'd only end up getting injured and missing games for us.
The lad is immense though.
Kobbie Mainoo: Man Utd midfielder added to England squad for friendlies - BBC Sport
18. Years. Old.
And hal called it again.
A bit gutted now though cos I'm worried he'll get injured in these friendlies!
So, just to recap, hal has been proven right yet again.
I'm sure the lack of recognition on the thread from fellow football posters is just cos you're waiting to tell me in person at the On Nut piss up.
Or not.
Anyway, it Looks like Mainoo will get minutes tonight with a view to including him in the squad too.
For those of you who still don't know (and most of you still don't know) he's the best player to come through at United since the last best player to come through at United (about 6 months ago ), but he still has things to work on.
He needs to protect the back 4 better AND, as much as I love his ability on the ball and the way he takes it off the back 4, he doesn't half run it close at times.
Just look at the way he waltzed past Liverpool players last weekend despite leaving it very close on occasions. However lovely it was to see them all schooled by an 18 year old kid.
Mark my words, this will come back to bite him on the bum sooner or later. But he'll learn from it.
Anyway, Zoom chats 15 Euros an hour if you want to learn about football.
30 Euros for you Lu cos you'll need a bit more work.
PM for details.
First start for England tonight
Not watched it * - can't be arsed with friendlies - but he's getting high praise again from various quarters (and I saw on Twatter that he nearly scored).
74 mins: Mangala is played down the right, but Rice eventually gets back to cut out his pass, and anyway he was miles offside. Maddison, meanwhile, comes on for Mainoo, who has been very good.
Funny seeing England fans on Twatter hoping that he made a mistake before the two games because he plays for United.
An 18 year old kid.
This lad is gonna be running your national team for the next 15 years, you ABU pricks, so get used to it.
* I did see the colossal fuck up from Pickford though (and read about Dunk). That back line is obviously the worry going into the summer- and especially without Shaw.
England only managed a draw, while Denmark took another glorious victory.
Slava Dania !
Sky breaking news, Mainoo wants out of OT as he wants to play for a big club and win medals and will meet with Pep at the weekend
Iceland didn't make the playoffs
You engerlanders must be pleased with that
Man of the match the other night, by the way.
He was crap the other night and probably cost us the 3 points with his poor ball to Fernandes that went out of play.
Worst I've seen him play and he looked tired.
BUT in fairness
How good is he?
"My boyhood club"
He's right about getting games over the line too.
18 years old!!!
18!!!
What did hal tell you?
