Quinn Hughs names captain of the Vancouver Canucks. Petterson is an introvert. I don't think he wanted it. But Hughs is one too. They should have made Miller captain. Jesus christ. He's the youngest captain in the NHL I just realized. Im not a fan of young captains but he will be fine.

If you think the @spittinchiclets podcast rolls out that story without confirming it with a member of the team you need a brain transplant. Bizarre behaviour from a guy that’s done it before and gotten canned for stuff exactly like this. This was the text I got to start it all off. First I’d ever heard of it. So I called him and got the story. Carry Babs water I don’t give a flying fuck. Believe who you want to believe. The truth will eventually come out. The good news is he won’t be invading guys privacy from a position of power anymore. If you can’t understand how bizarre that is then we just aren’t going to be aligned on this.

The Canucks won a pre season game. The win is huge. After the 10/0 loss and that Seattle loss, the whole city was being dragged down to the depths of 2022 already. The next 2 games are very important. They cannot afford a bad start. The management and coach aren't on long term deals. Petterson isn't signed. This could get ugly af in a hurry if they don't get a half decent start.

I went to a hockey game once. Dallas Stars against New York Jets.

Alright ice hockey. Fast paced, lots of skill and people being hit with sticks. What's not to like?

It helps if you can find something sentimental about one of the teams that connects with you. Once you've decided what team that is, then turn on the game. Without that its hard to get into any sport imo.

It also depends on the quality of the TV broadcast for hockey. Lower quality broadcasts are a thing of the past for the NHL for the most part. But some are better than others. There is more close-up and ice level angles ect in the better ones and its a lot better than just the standard look down view.

Not a bad start for the Vancouver Canucks. League stats. Brockstar leads the league with 4 goals

They finally got to start the season with a home game, instead of a losing road trip that saps their confidence. Boeser is coping with his personal life issues and seems to be back. Glad they didn't trade him. They look sharp.

I always said about Boeser that if we trade him, he will score goals and make us look stupid. He will be streaky but the elite shot is there.

It was hard to find anything wrong by any player with that game. Which is nice for a change.

Round 2 tonight in Edm.

Rumor has been that Corey Perry banged Connor Bedards mom on the moms trip. When i first heard it , i thought it had to be 100% bs. But the more time that passes the more it seems could be true
