21-7 Eagles at the half. All over for 9ers.
You can see the fear in the Niner back up QB's eyes, not looking good
Ah shit now he's hurt.
Even Eagles fans while happy to see going to SB must feel same as I. Terrible game to watch.
Murphy's law finally reared its head. Damn
No luck Niners! Sad to see them lose that way, and that is coming from a Niners hater.
Feel terribly sorry for Brock Purdy.
"Mr. Irrelevant" indeed.
Bengals Chiefs is a better game.
Bummer that a penalty was what tipped the game.
What tipped the game, was the bullshit grounding call on Burrow, and the missed late hit. Refs also missed a block in the back on KC, on the ensuing punt.
Is it just a coincidence that the biggest spokesman for State Farm insurance is Patrick Mahomes, and the Super Bowl is being played at State farm Farm stadium?
The First Read, Super Bowl LVII: 6 factors that could determine Kansas City Chiefs vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Patrick Mahomes needs to keep blowing us away. Anybody who watched Mahomes limp his way through most of Kansas City's Divisional Round win over Jacksonville had to be skeptical of how much he could move around against Cincinnati in the AFC Championship Game.
Jalen Hurts needs to make history. The one thing we've never seen happen in the NFL is a team winning a championship with a true dual-threat quarterback. Hurts has an opportunity to change all that, and he's easily the best prepared to do so. The Eagles arguably have the league's best offensive line, a bevy of talented running backs and dangerous pass catchers in A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert.
The Eagles' pass rush must dominate. No team in the league had a more ferocious pass rush than Philadelphia this season. It produced 70 sacks and four defensive linemen finished with at least 10 quarterback takedowns.
The Chiefs' defense must continue to deliver. The Chiefs knew this season would be about growing pains on their defense, especially because they relied on so many rookies playing key roles. What nobody could've predicted was how well those young players would perform on such a big stage.
The Eagles' running game can't slow down. The Eagles didn't have the best rushing attack in the league in terms of statistics, but they easily had the most diversified.
The Chiefs' receivers need to be healthy. One of the more impressive aspects of the Chiefs' AFC championship win was their ability to deal with so many injuries to their receiving corps.
Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
Did I read correctly that there is a mother who has a son in each Superbowl team?
Yup, Travis Kelce is one of the best tight ends in football and plays for the Chiefs, his brother Jason is the center for the Eagles. Proud mom and dad.
I see there's an Aussie in the Superbowl playing for the Eagles, Jordan Mailata. I know there's usually a few Australian's in the NFL as kickers (typically former AFL players who can punt a ball about a mile) but this guy is an ex NRL player who does a lot more than just kick a ball apparently. Here's a vid of him playing Rugby League as a 19 year old weighing 143kg (320lb) but he's 20kg heavier than that now as an adult. He's simply too big to play NRL, but that's not a bad thing if you've got an NFL contract I would think.
He fits right in, too. The average height and weight of an offensive lineman in the NFL is 6'4" and 315 pounds/143 kg. Some of the best players in the NFL are Samoan.
My team, the Seattle Seahawks, have one. He is a punter named Michael Dickson, he went to a Prokick Australia tryout and wound up heading to the US where he played in college for the University of Texas. We wound up drafting him in the fifth round of the draft, which is pretty high for a kicker. It turned out to be the right decision because he is the best punter in the NFL.

^Just watched the afternoon news in Oz and they've said the kicker for the Eagles is an Aussie too which I didn't know either. That's got to be the best gig in the game, come on and punt a ball every once in a while for millions a year without anyone ever putting a hand on you
Mick Luckhurst was kicker for the Atlanta Falcons back in the 80s. He was from Hertfordshire and started off in rugby.
