So Thursday kicked off the NFL season. An amazing accomplishment that the game is being played. I do not think that red state Missouri cared much about the virus as they allowed 16k people into the stadium many not wearing masks.

And they booed the moment of solidarity when the teams came together and linked arms.
I know it's hard to separate criticism of the nation from the person at times -- which it isn't -- and that there are many, many things as an American to be rightfully proud of but I'm sorry to say that place is utterly fucked right now.
Corona will have vengeance sayath the lord.
Care to point them out for me? I am stewing in this shithole and I can not think of any.
But I was hoping to keep this sport related. The fact that this season is happening is a major accomplishment. Knock on wood.
Mahomes looked like he is worth the money. The Chiefs were sharp. No fans in SF for the Niner start. 325am Monday here. Sounds fine by me. Lets see what Kittle does, along with our D.
Been a bears (and Cubbies) fan since studying in Chicago - a real home-fanbase. Horrible city but good teams.
(Though I do admit to a liking for the Jets)
will be interesting to see if they can complete the season. it's incredible to me that there have been so few positive tests so far.
edwards-helaire looks like an absolute steal as the last pick in the first round.
lots of tradition of mediocre or worse QBs.
Where is George Halas? Mr. Bear without a doubt.
Before my time, but yes . . .
I've lived/worked in many cities in the US but Chicago does have the 'best' fans . . . but it is the worst city.
there were way too many PI calls this week.
hope it was just a week 1 thing.
it's football. let them play.
You call yourself a Bears fan and you leave four Hall of Famer‘s off the list? Duuude!
1. The Kansas Comet, Gale Sayers- “Give me 18 inches of daylight.”
2. Richard Dent - What are the fastest, and scariest defensive ends to ever play the game.
3. Brian Urlacher-Eight time pro bowler, and the very definition of nasty.
4. Bronco Nagurski-One of the original Monsters of the Midway
remember when billionaire patriots owner robert kraft got busted by the cops for getting a handjob at a 'massage parlor' in florida?
you might recall that his high priced lawyers got him off scott free...no fine, no community service...nothing....even though the cops had him on video getting a handjob for money.
yesterday it was reported that the woman who gave him that handjob has to pay $31,000 in court fees.
kraft has $31,000 in his sofa cushions....this woman probably doesn't make that much in a year.
again, just to be clear......
he requested and paid for the handjob.
she gave him the handjob because she needed the money.
america.
