As I have said, F1 is boring. It's Snob racing and most races are over at the 1st or 2nd turn of lap 1. It's also always a runaway by 1 or 2 all season and you don't know the name of the racer 3rd through 15th. There is no parity. They need to change some rules and adopt some sort of play off system like NASCAR and NHRA has to make it interesting and bring needed parity.
I stopped watching F1 a few years back. You didn't have to watch it. Just check on an app and see who was in the lead after lap 1 and you could drop even money that will be the winner in the end. Occasionally there is an event and then the teams cry and bitch like spoiled little children.
No way Snubs. NASCAR had fallen into boredom. One racer rain away with it . In fact Jimmy Johnson and Jeff Gordon had locked up the championship with 5 races left. How is that good for spectators. Now the chase makes it very interesting. You could be a points leader and not win the championship. Total parity now. You have to watch to the last race to see which of the 4 will win. I have to admit, F1 for the first time in years was interesting as the last raced decided it but again it was between the 2 that ran away with it. As for cautions in NASCAR, they are almost always warranted for safety reason. Those guys race 350 to 600 miles every race at near 200 mph most of them. Now they added 3 more road courses to the schedule so it's fun to watch and unlike those pussy F1 drivers who cry when they rub a tire, NASCAR they exchange paint all race and they don't bitch piss and moan and then have protest races.
I believe MB have dropped their appeal now?
It is congratulations to Max, he had to be there all season to win it. That said, it all ended with Masi appearing to make the rules partly optional in a way that essentially crowned the champion. Funny, it was only after Jeddah that Horner was complaining, "We miss Charlie Whiting." He had no such complaint after Abu Dhabi.
Done and dusted. On to 2022.
Its not the format that makes it boring. Its the spending. The cost cap is a good start. They say that spec racing is against the spirit of innovation. But the laws of economics point to more spec racing. All of the technical low hanging fruit was picked by the 90's. Now we just have teams spending millions just to eek out a aero gain of minuscule proportions.
But the worst has been the last 8 years. The turbo hybrid era. One team nailed these complicated and expensive engines. And that is Mercedes. Nobody else has been close. Sure Red Bull eeked one out. But they needed a miracle to still win.
So suddenly everyone like 'Arry are monarchists now. Maybe shamilton will be sainted next
It's quite obviously an American thing.
FIA are rightly being ridiculed for claiming their obvious rigging of the title is a simple case of "fans misunderstanding" and that we should stop "tarnishing the reputation of the championship".
You have to admit they have a sense of fucking humour.
Oh, for fuck’s sake, what a bunch of shitbags. Maybe they should have made a similar statement when Bottas took Verstappen out in Hungry. If that didn't happen, the title would have been over before this mess. Verstappen dominated this season, and he deserved to win fuck your paper champion.
