He doesn't have a great managerial record at Arsenal, Yerpa league excluded, and even then the final was a capitulation.
Ornstein reckons they will meet this morning to sack him and appoint Freddie as interim manager while they look for an experienced candidate.
Can't happen quick enough.
I don't think there's anything fickle about seeing your team in terminal decline run by a manager who seems to be desperately guessing to try and fix it.
My old mate Kevin Whitcher, who edits The Gooner, summed it up neatly this morning:
Recent home Arsenal matches have had the feeling of visiting a dying relative in hospital, knowing the end is near, but never knowing whether you are seeing them for the last time. Yesterday evening felt terminal. At least, when we said farewell at the Emirates to Arsene Wenger, it was a sunny feelgood day with a win. Last night, it was cold and wet, and Arsenal lost. The sooner we can all move on, the better for everybody.
^ do you think he would want to go back to Citeh and warm the bench again?
Emery sacked.
Freddie takes over until a replacement is found.

We announce today that the decision has been taken to part company with our head coach Unai Emery and his coaching team.
Speaking on behalf of the Arsenal board and our owners Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, Josh Kroenke said: “Our most sincere thanks go to Unai and his colleagues who were unrelenting in their efforts to get the club back to competing at the level we all expect and demand. We wish Unai and his team nothing but future success.”
The decision has been taken due to results and performances not being at the level required.
We have asked Freddie Ljungberg to take responsibility for the first team as interim head coach. We have full confidence in Freddie to take us forward.
The search for a new head coach is underway and we will make a further announcement when that process is complete.
Depending who you believe, Arsenal are either talking to Mendes about Nuno, or Allegri.

TG don't worry it'll be the same sorry bunch of league 2 journeymen, strikers aside. Just lob the ball over the midfield and get Pukki running around the penalty spot and you are almost dead on for an own goal.
Up to Level 4.
You need Level 5, dems da rules.
Not that it matters, he's far too inexperienced even if he can try and cram the remainder in before they hire someone.
Allegri would seem the obvious choice as he's got the CV and he's available.
After that, Poch or Fat Sam.
Easy win that with the kids to top the group ahead of the team 3 points behind Ajax in the Dutch league. The kids aint just alright, some of 'em are outstanding.
The only problem we've got is wondering how we're gonna fit Greenwood, Martial, Rashford, James and Maddison into the same 11 next year.

Looks like Harry might get lucky and we'll let them keep Aubameyang after all.
