If you would like to follow a runner and you have a name, just download this app:

Official BMW BERLIN-MARATHON App 2023: BMW BERLIN-MARATHON: MARATHON App

Hit “Visitor”, then “Tracking” and then type in a name at “Search athletes”.

If you don’t know anyone, you might want to follow….

    Eliud Kipchoge

He should be the first to cross the finish line

    Or

    Tigst Assefa

She should be the first female to cross the finish line

    starts shortly.......

    Sun, Sep 24, 2023, 1:50 PM – 8:30 PM (Thai time)

Should be able to watch it here live (SPOTV2): Watch SPOTV2 Channel Live Streaming Free - GDPlayer TV or Watch SPOTV2 Channel Live Streaming Free - TVFreemium

Takes a little time for both to load.

    Or…..

There’s also more than a few youtube channels that are showing the race.

Just go to youtube “search” and type in “BMW Berlin Marathon 2023” and more than a few will show up.

I don’t know how long they’ll stay up.

    Good luck to them.

Is the protocol to stay together for the whole 42km, all cutie like, or does the faster fitter one leave the deadwood to drift back into the nether regions of the finishing chart?

The one on the right looks just like a hit and run from around 20 years ago. Her name's not Julie is it?

    Not Julie, but she’s a good-looking woman (early 30’s)

They don’t do “cutie”. Deadwood (aka my daughter) start group is a different level than “Julie’s”.

Julie’s estimated finish time is at about 3 : 00 hours. Deadwood will finish at about 4 : 00 hours

About start groups/levels, for some that might not know….

When you register for these types of races you have to give/show them your average (?) or best (?) time in a marathon so they know where to place you. They don’t want the faster runners mixing with the slower runners, so they start slower runners/groups later than the faster runners/groups.

So how many minutes is it before the last deadwood crosses the start line?

Do deadwood finishing times have the lag deducted from their clocktime to factor in the handicap?

This lady won the marathon without the assistance of a sports bra and knocked 2 minutes off the record

    Marathons-tigist-assefa-ethiopia-crosses-finish-line

    At 53kg the 26 year-old weighs 1kg more than the 38 year-old fella winner

    Marathons-kenyas-eliud-kipchoge-smiles-asfter-crossing

He is the only fella to have ever run a marathon in under 2 hours at 1.59.40 but it was with fuel and hydration so does not count

How many Kg is your daughter Landreth?

I don’t know. But she’s thin. Always has been. She is one of those who eats to survive and doesn’t survive to eat.

    Looper there’s a cut off time. 6 : 15 hours

They have a broom wagon that’ll help some to the finish line.

    • Time limit: 6 : 15 hours (after passing the time measure mat)
    • Cut-Off Point at KM 33 at 3 : 50 pm
    • Cut-Off Point at KM 38 at 4 : 35 pm

Participants, who have not reached one of these points by the indicated time must leave the official course and continue on the sidewalk or ride in the "broom wagon" to the finish. The organizer's liability is limited to participants who use the "broom wagon" service. Only participants who can prove all split times and run over the finish mat within the time limit will receive an official result, a medal, refreshment, massage and as the case may be the poncho.

    Two questions from one poster.

You make it sound like there is a clamour.
