    Oh how glad we were.

The pair of us dancing around the living room when Mickey Thomas did the business.

I still watch it today when I'm pissed to relive the moment.

Well, no, to enjoy the scouse tears.

I only got to watch it because some Qatari sheikh decided he wanted it and told Qatar TV to pay whatever was needed and show it live.

Pissed as parrots as we'd been out all day.

Watched it with a tiny totts mate, bless him, he ended dying in a car crash a few years later. Good sort.

So let me get this right:

United won the FA Cup against City

Leeds lost the play off final and are stuck with cy for another season of nothingness

    Arsenal are still trophyless fannies

    If Carlsberg did weekends...

Erik Ten Hag and Manchester United had a more successful season than Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs, Newcastle etc.

    Manchester United win trophies.

The rest of you fannies don't.

That's what I call the very convenient truth.

Of course winning it in 2024 pales in significance to winning it in 2023. :-)

I used to think the guy was reasonably bright.

On this topic he's just incapable of communicating like an adult.

He conveniently cropped my original quote.

Do you think the League Cup is more important than the FA Cup?

For Nev from the Daily Cheer thread:

Erik Ten Hag is the only man for me.

For Switch from the Daily Cheer thread (and others):

The 2-1 win over Manchester City in the FA Cup final was proof of what the Dutchman can do with a fit squad

Erik ten Hag: the manager Manchester United are poised to sack despite the same record of two trophies in two seasons as Pep Guardiola had at the start of his Manchester City tenure

Football, bloody hell, or football, the quaintest of old games, because with a squad near to full fitness for the first time in an age, Ten Hag showed what he can do, which was a Roy of the Rovers-esque 2-1 victory that broke City hearts, claimed the FA Cup for United, and was the sweetest of ripostes to the 54-year-old’s naysayers.

At the close he walked to the United end of Wembley and bowed as he was regaled by the jubilant support with simple volleys of “Ten Hag, Ten Hag, Ten Hag”. This 13th FA Cup triumph ensured Europa League football next season and Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who plans to remove the manager, would not be human if he did not doubt his own wisdom.
As the account Ten Hag Gambit tweeted at the break:“Win or lose from here, they’re mad to sack him. Only one half, but he has yet again shown what he can do with a fit squad. I’m so sad.

The problem is is that the win showed what the players can do. But is it ETH's fault for not motivating them or the players for not trying? Will another manager succeed where the last few haven't? Why am I asking so many rhetorical questions?

Let in a goal that me grandma would have saved?

Leave the 70 million quid donkey on the bench?

Dunno really. It's probably that you're a bit of a clueless wanker though.
