Plastics: Come and play for us at the Emptyhad, Ronny. We'll pay you shitloads and we might even fill our stadium one day.

Ronny: Nah, fuck off. United are interested.

Plastics: We're pulling out of the deal, has-been! We never wanted you anyway! Ner ner ner ner ner!

A spine of Varane, Maguire, Pogba, Bruno, Ronaldo. With Rashford/Sancho/Greenwood coming in off the wings.

    Fok yes.

The spine of a team refers to the key players in a team: the core. The spine of a team usually includes the goalkeeper, one or more defenders and midfielders, and sometimes a striker, too. The players are usually experienced as well as talented. Many people believe that a team needs a ‘spine‘ to be successful.

Reading that page, one of the examples is quite funny.

    • Example: (Headline) Man City Pay Heavy Price for lack of Spine. (Text) “The absence of Vincent Kompany, Yaya Toure and Sergio Aguero cost Manchester City dear as they blew a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at home to struggling Burnley on Sunday.” (Euro Sport, 2014)

    • Example: Arsenal need a completely new spine to their team to match Premier League champions Chelsea next season. (Sky Sports, 2015)

Yes. Usually a GK, DF or two, MF or two, a striker.

If you think that's a spine you might need to see a chiropractor.

Cristiano Ronaldo held Juventus back: just what do Manchester United see in him?

Returning superstar will certainly score goals, but his chief use to Old Trafford will be that most modern of roles: a celebrity content provider.

Yes, an average of 34 goals a season for 3 seasons is detrimental.

Let's face it. With Utd's attacking line up he won't need to move from the box. Even with a late start he'll be 1st or 2nd for PL goals scored this season.
