    ^ and ^^,

With Flacco injured (they say a short time but who knows) Kaep is going to do a workout / try out for the Ravens.

He's apparently has had a good relationship with Harbaugh and OC Greg Roman.

Yeah, people say he could get picked up by the Ravens.

I'll take a bet and say 'yes.'

That said, Kaep sucks. Hope he lays off the attention whoring and focus on his role.

What will the conspirarcy theorists do the day Kaep gets picked up? Pretend they didn't say all those things about his not getting a job being a huge conspirarcy?

Some obvious truths here: There are a ton of vets without a job, and Kaep is just one of them at this point. And not even one of the more attractive ones. But that's reality not some half baked conspiracy theory.

There is a reason why these teams are trying him out and not signing him, and it is not because of some conspiraracy theory. They would never be talking to him in the first place if he were being blackballed

I will expect this very obvious and self-evident point to fly right over the heads of the CT people, naturally

IMO the best spot for him would have been Seattle. Did Pete Carroll actually ever give a straight answer on why they didn't sign him?

I think his answer was basically that they were only kicking the tires on a backup and Kaep either wanted or deserved to be a starter (can't remember his exact wording). He definitely said Kaep had starting potential and deserved to be a starter in the league so it was the opinion of the team that he wasn't a backup.

The real reason? Your guess is as good as mine.

The last guy was only making like a million a year and I'm not sure Kaepernick is willing to play for that low of a figure even as a back-up QB.

I'd like to know what the bottom line figure is he's willing to take to be a back-up QB.

Tampa is paying Fitzpatrick 3 million to be a back-up.

    not really.

olson wasn't good enough for the actual "arena football league"....he most recently played in the 'champions indoor football' league....which is somehow worse.

olson played for the KC phantoms.....they went 4-8 last year...and played in some building called the silverstein eye center arena.

certainly more qualified to be a back up QB in the NFL than kaepernick.

    sure.

I heard some undrafted rookie just signed to play as an NFL cornerback. In other news, Darrelle Revis remains unsigned.

Darrelle Revis is therefore being blackballed

    olson's college numbers....

1 for 3....for negative one yard.

    no joke.

he completed one pass in college...and it lost yardage.

meanwhile in the actual NFL....kaepernick had a 90.7 quarterback rating in 12 games last season with 16 touchdowns and four interceptions.

i think eventually there's a relatively good chance that a desperate team will pick him up.

if i had to guess....it'll be a team with a good chance to make the playoffs whose QB 1 goes down with a 4-8 week injury and the QB2 looks horrible in his first game....IMO this is the type of team that will have no choice because the fan base will be screaming.

    jesus wept.

the point of the hypothetical is that the fan base would be screaming because they can't understand why ownership isn't doing everything to win....this would force ownership's hand to sign kaepernick.

any thoughts on olson's college numbers? or do you just want to try and avoid that altogether?

or maybe you have some thoughts on his work as a real estate agent before he signed with the perennial powerhouse KC phantoms.

oh...hold on...can they really be considered perennial if the "champions football league' has only existed for two seasons?

Either he's being blackballed or he isn't. The theory makes no sense if a team is willing to sign him in desperation. That's also called a veteran free agent pickup

I'm sorry that my response makes your theory seem like the ludicrious nonsense that it is.

Your theory has an internal logic problem. I can't help you with that

you were asked to comment on olson completing a total of 1 for 3 passes in college (for a negative yard)....compared to Kaepernick who had 90 QBR in the actual NFL last season.

yet you've repeatedly dodged and attempted to deflect.

it's not surprising.....but it is boring.

anyway, back to gruden....i think he's just as likely to come back as a coach in college as the NFL.

I don't know if Pete answered that or JS did but they have Trevor Boykin.

Maybe trying out Kaep was a message to Boykin?

    But Kaep has more experience.

Ok, here goes. The team sees potential in Olsen and therefore signed him. He'll likely be cut before the season starts. Your conflating his signing with Kaep being a free agent is a logical flaw in your reasoning. The two things are unrelated and there are many reasons why that could be the case (see the posts about why Seattle didn't sign him for just one of of many, many possible explanantions)

In other news did you hear Olsen was signed, yet some rando dude from nowheresville completed two out of three passes in college, one for positive yardage at that. Why wasn't rando dude signed instead? Your thoughts on me conflating these two totally unrelated things is required at this time in order to prove derp

    Ray,

has moved into the sport section to promote his SJW views.

I can certainly see why teams would not want Kaep b/c of his distractions. Who wants this noise?
