    Man U vrs Man City

    Will there be eye gouging.

Will Pep knock Smugkunt da fok out in a post match press conference should Utd demolish them and Smugkunt go into patronizing Smugkunt overload.

Who will Smugkunt blame should he lose, the groundskeepers, the wind, the disabled fans for not cheering loud enough.

No Kunt Aguero. Bailly and Zlatan in supreme form, Pogba coming into it, Mata and Rashford could also make the difference.

    Roll on Beer O'Clock tomorrow.

My prediction 3-1 Man U and a bit of sulking from Pep.

Not at all a fan of chavball but I just glanced an article that this will be the 'most expensive game ever played'.

Combined team worth of £600 million apparently.

ManU do look a totally different proposition from last season. Nay, a team transformed with yer man Zlatan upfront.
However, I fancy Citeh to score a few goals too. Blues for me.

Can the Manc fans rival the hatred of the old firm derby?

Entirely appropriate that both thugfests kick off before the pubs open.

A slab of Tennants or a Sainsbury's prawn sandwich anyone?

I think Man U will be missing both fullbacks - Valencia arriving back from South America the day before, and Shaw with an injury. With City's wingers, particularly Sterling (2 goals, 2 assists from 3 games?) it could have a major effect on the result.

Manchester derby - The match of the season

    Manchester City Vs Manchester United!

Jsoe Mourinho and Pep Guardiola have tried to bury the hatchet before Saturday's Manchester derby.

Pep Guardiola appeared horizontal on Friday about the prospect of handing Claudio Bravo his debut in the cauldron of Old Trafford in what is anticipated to be the most watched game in British top-flight history on the back of just two training sessions. “He is fit, he is ready,” the Manchester City manager said of the Chile goalkeeper, newly signed from Barcelona as Joe Hart’s replacement. “This kind of player – 33 years old – he has the experience.” But not necessarily experience of what is likely to be in store on Saturday lunchtime, and David de Gea, Manchester United’s keeper, will probably be the first to be encouraging his team-mates to pump balls into the penalty area as Jose Mourinho seeks to exploit his side’s huge height advantage over City.

De Gea found the aerial demands of English football taxing to begin with and will doubtless hope his fellow Spanish speaker encounters the same problems. At 6ft, Bravo is not the tallest goalkeeper and the prospect of the 6ft 5in Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 6ft 4in Marouane Fellaini and 6ft 3in Paul Pogba towering in the air would be daunting for any newcomer, regardless of their age. Guardiola looked up, almost ominously, when – unprompted - he raised the subject of United’s physical supremacy, an admission that ran counter to his relaxed approach about Bravo. “The set-pieces with these tall guys …,” he said. “They are taller than us, it’s impossible to control that”.

    All power to the full-backs

It was almost cathartic for United supporters to see their full-backs being given licence to go forward again after Mourinho lifted the straitjacket imposed by his predecessor, Louis van Gaal. Indeed, the success of Luke Shaw and Antonio Valencia or Timothy Fosu-Mensah, who could start over the travel-weary Ecuadorian, have overloading with the wide players on the flanks may have a significant bearing on the outcome of the game given their importance on the counter-attack.

The set-pieces with these tall guys ...They are taller than us, it’s impossible to control that
    Pep Guardiola
By the same token, Guardiola will place a premium – defensively and offensively – on his own full-backs, albeit in a different way. The City manager does not appear to have the same confidence in his full-backs as Mourinho, which may explain why he is reported to have blocked new contract negotiations for Gaël Clichy, Bacary Sagna and Pablo Zabaleta, but their multi-purpose roles have been one of the most striking facets of the way the Catalan wants his side to play.

It's all about the height of the jolly red giants

Where the Manchester derby will be won: how United and City compare

A lot of bollocks being spouted at the moment, we'll see..

Mourinho and Guardiola go head-to-head for the first time in their new jobs
Pep Guardiola has revealed that he’s already met up with Jose Mourinho ahead of the most anticipated derby in recent memory.

The build up to the first Premier League meeting between the pair has been dominated by their personal rivalry.

But Manchester City manager Guardiola insists there is no animosity between the two - confirming they have already socialised since taking up their new jobs this summer.

Despite their feud boiling over during their time managing Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively, Guardiola said: “He was my coach, my assistant coach with Sir Bobby Robson (at Barca).

“The last meeting in Madrid, with Barcelona was not easy - but we met each other two or three weeks ago at the Premier League managers’ dinner.
