Close Shave For Becks

He's a leader in trends, but surely the kids aren't going to follow his latest attempt to stay a cut above the rest?

Smoothie David Beckham caused a stir at the weekend when he discarded his shirt to reveal he's shaved his armpits.

Yup, the one and only Becks - who, let's not forget, has a sponsorship deal with razor firm Gillette - showed off his smooth-as-an-eel pits while playing footie for Real Madrid in the US.

He has already revealed he loves to wax his chest, but the "experts" are not happy about it one little bit.

Consultant trichologist Dr Derek Dane told the Mirror: "Even just trimming your armpit hair could lead to problems.

"The hair is there for a specific purpose - to allow the air to circulate freely and keep you cool."

However, Dr Dane added that men need a little extra hair - otherwise it could prove a turn-off for women.

He revealed how hair helps release secret pheromenes - that attract members of the opposite sex.

"All these waxed and buffed up men could find they are not attracting as many women as they used to," he said.

Yes, indeedy - as you can see from the close-up shot, David’s right foot somehow seems to have slipped out of its sandal and appears to be semi-inserted inside the trouser leg of the “mystery blonde” sitting opposite him.
According to the Daily Mail, the picture of the foursome was actually published in a number of newspapers two months ago – but no one picked up on the ‘Footgate’ element until now.

So now that they have, the million-dollar question remains: was Becks really playing footsie with another woman - or simply stretching his legs? Well, we’re sure there’s a perfectly innocent explanation... but you might want to keep a close eye on your husband’s footwork both on and off the pitch for a while, Victoria!
