i reckon Silva will get about 60 minutes. they need him to play..
They need him to play as much time as possible over the coming games, which might be best achieved by resting him tonight.
Moyes may be on his way. Perhaps it is indeed time to load up on ManYoo players...
If that approach against everton was the best he could do after two weeks to prepare against a team he basically put together...well, I think he's got to go.
And afterwards he said United basically bossed the game but were caught on the counter attack?
What game was he watching?
Giggs couldn't do worse.
Decent summation of that by Nicholson (writing Northern crime fiction nowadays apparently...) here 4-4-2 Still Effective When Utilised Correctly | Mediawatch, Mailbox, Ref365, John Nicholson, Spanish Thing | Football365
Surprising that the Hodgson / Lineker spat of earlier in the season didn't get a mention in that.
Looking dodgy for those with Silva. It's a shame that injuries have hit so many of the top players in this run in.
With Hazard missing training today too it could be time some of those amber, orange and red blobs were moved out.

these injuries to the big midfielders are really opening the field up. pity it wasn't this way earlier in the season
Didn't Lineker tweet that England's 4-4-2 formation was 'football from the dark ages', and Hodgson responded (not on twitter) that he had no idea what Lineker was talking about?Originally Posted by Jimmy McNulty
Hodgson then mentioned that he'd never used the term '4-4-2' in his life, or words to that effect.

Looked it up after you mentioned it and read this Roy Hodgson hits back at Gary Lineker and defends long-ball tactics | Football | The Guardian I don't really keep up with England stuff. Call it World Cup preconditioning.
It will be interesting to see how teams adapt to what are apparently very soporific, humid conditions in Manaus.
For example some people seem to feel that the pace of the likes of Luke Shaw and Raheem Sterling could be a big help.
I don't think the likes of Italy and Uruguay will be planning on running around an awful lot.
Thus, talk of formations seems somewhat moot. It will be ability to keep the ball that will be key, whatever the formation, and roy is going to have to find another way of 'not inviting pressure' than hoofing it long.
Unfortunately England are not yet at the point where all the players have been reared with the rather glaring fact in their minds that possession is a precious thing.
I actually expect a very fucking dull world cup, except perhaps in the later stages.
So he's got canned then.
Watch out for dead cat bounce against Norwich.
This has to help Steve Round's chances of being the next James Bond.
I'm going to miss it, it has to be said. ManYoo have been hilarious for the last 10-11 months. Watch them bring someone competent in now like Simeone or Klopp and it'll be business as usual.
It has indeed been a hilarious interlude.
From the pathos etched on Moyes' furrowed brow to the slapstick physical comedy of Phil Jones' defending it has really run the gamut of humour.
BBC Sport - David Moyes: 'Chosen One' banner may go to football museum
The banner that became a focal point of David Moyes's struggles as Manchester United manager before his sacking may end up in a football museum.
'The Chosen One' banner has hung from the Stretford End at Old Trafford since August.
It will be removed before Saturday's Premier League home match with Norwich.
Stretford End Flags, the group which had the banner made, is considering donating it to the National Football Museum in Manchester.Klopp has already ruled himself out in record time.Originally Posted by Jimmy McNulty

the bin babies team is a fine collection of red and orange dots.
Mirallas, Silva, Yaya all crocked. -12 hit needed to sort that lot out.
Still chance for England to sack Roy and get the mighty Steve Round in before the World Cup!
Fucking city playing Silva.... idiots!

G'day all. Nice to finally check out this forum. Been quite entertaining reading. Interesting last few GWs coming up. Best of luck to all.
For the record I never claimed to have anything 'in the bag'... certainly not this particular league anyway! (as the dodgy, arsey Irishman well knows)
