it's going to take some balls to make the necessary gains

Well, I didn't think Moyes would be daft enough to rush RVP back, Hernandez should have been looking to get on the scoresheet with a rare start and probable 90 minutes, ManYoo surely wouldn't lose two in a row at home, Newcastle had just shipped 3 goals to the Jacks, and it allowed me to bring Ozil in this week with Ivanovic and Hernandez out next week for Lukaku and perhaps Distin. But yeah, wasn't ideal.
Seriously, how fucking garbage are ManYoo at the moment? Fellaini not even making the bench as well? 15 points off Arsenal if they beat Everton but that's over now. It's the 7 points and a horrible goal difference off 4th that's going to be worrying the Bible Basher now. Failure to get to the Champions League surely means the likes of RVP and Rooney even more determined to exit and who the fuck are you getting in then?
Apparently Edward Woodward isn't worried though:
‘The reality is that you can’t always win......Take Liverpool. They still sell an incredible number of shirts and have the second biggest shirt deal in the Premier League. They have one of the biggest technical partner deals — and they haven’t won the league since 1990. And you can put the last bit underlined and in capitals. If we have a bad year, we have the financial strength to change the team. We have so much deeper financial strength that instead of selling three players and buying three, we can do five.'
So read that as 'We will be reactive if our revenue streams are threatened. Otherwise we'll continue to cheap out as long the yellow hordes are buying shirts.'
I think times have changed. Media being what it is now, with the sheer choice of games available, your modern plastic fan is more fickle than ever. It would necessitate a good few years for a true fall from grace, but it's a slippery slope once you're not qualifying for the Champions League. They're not bringing in the top players without Europe. Though I suppose with Fellaini + Varela in the last window, they're obviously not doing that anyway.
Roonpig captain next gw.
Fantastic form....villa are shit.
Triple Chelsea v Palace too....the backlash boys.
Every single player came up short.
Rafael had a stinker, Evra looked ready for the knacker's yard, and if Anderson is the answer the question must be who ate all the pies.
What a whacko time to give Zaha his chance. At least tumblin' young could have won a pen from the twelfth man.
And old trafford games seem to be ten minutes shorter these days.
Expect rvp to be 'injured' a lot more now they're mid table
Time to get the managerial dream team of neville and giggs in to work out what to do in the january window.
Shag gary's missis, maybe.
now i'm getting to see all the football, i'm realising the massive difference in refereeing standards
howard webb games flow so much better
he doesn't blow for every little nudge or tangle
they deserved to win but fulham's penalty yesterday was another in a long line of gash penalty decisions
it's about time we had a quick video check for every penalty decision
i don't buy the traditionalist...it will slow the game down thing
2 replays from 2 angles...no penalty...corner
i'm sure the fans wouldn't mind the game going on for a minute or 5 longer
they pay enough to be entertained for 90 minutes
fair few reds next to jofrey's name this morning
palace running into form
difficult to score against
chelsea wobbling...can see wholesale experimentation
I agree, and have changed my position on this since that ramires travesty at stamford bridge.
For me that one finally blew the 'they even themselves out over the season' argument out of the water for good.
Basically there isn't a single sport that has video refs and the fans are going 'tsk tsk...this is holding play up'
Even denied an oviedo assist by lukaku getting the faintest of touches. When it's not going for you...

that was a bad one and at least you could identify what the referee thought he had seenOriginally Posted by cyrille
did you see the one stoke got in the 94th minute against swansea?
didn't get the headlines cos a big club wasn't involved but not a single player appealed ..... it was an awful decision and nobody was certain who was supposed to have done what....
red cards need looking at too
the wes brown incident would have been sorted in 20 seconds tops..
i couldn't believe lukaku got an assist for thatOriginally Posted by cyrille
i was wondering why my points had only dipped by one after the failed mertesacker clean sheet
yes....not too happy with that but at least he got a bonus point.Originally Posted by cyrille
wouldn't be getting too excited about cleansheets against shit teams.....cardiff, west ham, hull.....Originally Posted by ChiangMai noon
paddypower have Chelsea at 1/5.....CP at 12/1
what were the stoke odds???
might go with hazard as captain this week after i've bought him
probably shorter....but Stoke are better than CP and the game was at home.Originally Posted by ChiangMai noon
Yaya looks the best of the midfielders. plays every minute....tank style.
Manure have scored something like 14 goals in the last 4 or 5 games against Villa.
will be hoping for a Hazard blank once again
i can assure you that won't be happening next weekendOriginally Posted by Jofrey
i'm still looking forward to a pozuelo brace tonight
i'd be braced for a nice benching.Originally Posted by ChiangMai noon
