I have just finished watching the 8 part 2014 BBC political thriller 'The Honourable Woman', starring Maggie Gyllenhaal & Steven Rea amongst others
I found it very good and well worth a watch 8/10
Yeah, and they acted together as brother and sister in Donnie Darko.
She played a hooker in The Deuce which I highly recommend. She should have kept her clothes on though.
Recently redid the 4 episode The Defiant Ones.
A must watch for anyone that was listening to music in the 90s.
Superb.
I watched the first 2 episodes of the Apple TV legal thriller based on the 1980s Scott Turow book.
I enjoyed the book when i read it back in the day and also enjoyed the 1990 Harrison Ford movie based on the book.
I am having a hard time keeping my interest in this new version.
I can't seem to connect with any of the characters so far.
Will watch subsequent episodes as and when they arrive but would suggest reading the book or catching the 1990 movie.
4/10 so far
Back to Black (Movie, 2024).
Amy Winehouse "biopic" that was supposedly not well received by her father or ex husband.
Which surprises me, since it totally glosses over what a pair of parasites they were and how much they ultimately contributed to her death.
6/10
