DVD player stops recognizing USB input

For some reason the player has just stopped picking up anything I plug into the USB port.

    Still plays dvds ok.

    Any suggestions?

How big is the usb that you are using?

Your DVD player can probably only handle 8gigs or less. I've got friends who have players that cant handle 8gigs and I suggested to them to try a 2gig and it worked.

    Thanks for that FP.

4 gig memory sticks seem to work occasionally, but not always.

    100 gb ExHD never.

So that might be the problem.

    Cheers

No probs. Thats the reason that I know this because I tried to stick in my external and it didn't work and Melvbot told me about the 8gig max thing on new ones and less on older ones.

And some of my media players won't recognise NTFS formatted drives, only FAT32.....
