I can't believe what I'm watching here.

this isn't just good, it's absolutely brilliant.

durianfan gets green at every opportunity for bringing it up in the download thread.

Yeah I've been watching this too, not bad at all. Think it's gotten a bit silly with the recent episodes though. Mind you, when all is said and done, you still get to see Anna Paquins jubblies so extra marks there.

it happens rarely enough.

on recommendation, i have downloaded dexter and battlestar galactica and lots of other stuff.

the wire, northern exposure, the west wing, the sopranos.
all examples of tv at its best.

but this supplants the whole lot of them.

Hmm, I'm not so effusive in my praise. It's good bit it aint that good. Just started watching 'Arrested Development', only one episode so far but seems very promising.

as i said in the other thread, i think the 55 minute episodes are key.

the scenes are long with no jump about for ads or whatever lots of mainstream shit does.

i have high hopes of this one not jumping shark like so many of the other US series like heroes and prison break.

'6 feet under' never really jumped and it's the same guy that has done this one.


possibly the best opening credits in history to boot.

It should be made clear at this juncture that CMN rates 'Babylon-5' a better show than 'Battlestar Galactica'. He's not to be trusted. That is all.

and how much of that did you watch?

because if you didn't make it out of series 1 you'd have no idea of how good that one became.

it's a different show altogether.

it is better than galactica in everything but production value and I'll be honest, if I'd seen series one first, then I'd never have watched what was to follow.

i only started somewhere in the middle of 3.

didn't watch the first 2 til much later, but 1 can be tossed out in all honesty.

I watched the pilot and about 2 or 3 episodes before binning it. I actually fell alseep dring one of the episodes which is something I've never done before and considering I was watching it on my PSP with headphones on sitting outside on my balconey no mean feat either.
