Accidently setting up Win 10?

After accidently downloading it via torrents.


The kid's computer, which is only used to play Roblox online and nothing else, now can't load Roblox because it needs an update from the fabulous Window's 7 that's on it.

Which thus renders the PC&TV setup completely useless. The updates are 'unsuccessful'.


It is a bodgy version of Win 7 from some bodgy Cebu computer store, to be fair. But was fine for many a year.

Went to update to Win 10, but they wouldn't allow it.


The PC specs should be fine, I imagine.



12 gigs of RAM.
6 gigs of gaming graphics.
Cleared the C drive to have 70gigs free.
4.00 GHz processor.


It's only used for Roblox, which looks like it would run on a Russian block from 1982.

The specs should surely be enough for Win 7/10 OS.


Could take it to a bodgy shop, to try to get them to put a bodgy Win 10 on it, but they'd be all like you need this SSD, this processor, this CPU, and before you know it they're banking enough of me dad's dime to take their family out for an MK dinner with a dessert of Dairy Queen!

So why has nearly a whole terabyte of data been taken up?

You'll need to back all that up/ get a new hard disc before taking the simple step of installing a new os/ heading to PC World

I don't think Microsoft lets you download it as a torrent , so instead of downloading it from Microsoft and following their instructions

Pulled out the USB and went to start, it to try that MBK to GPChat partition thing Stretcho mentioned.


Win 10 booted up perfectly from out of the blue, so to speak. All files still in place.

Still got 1TB of me fav Peppa Pig videos on it.


Roblox is currently running and the bedroom door is sealed shut from the inside.

Peace and quiet for the next 72 hours and the next Feeding Time, at least.
